Hey everyone welcome back to another project using the fabulous Inky Friends, Mixed Media Marks & Mix a Sentiment #1 stamp sets 


First I used some texture paste, a stencil and some oxide sprays and created a background of texture and grunge, lovely grunge 


Then, just for the love of grunge, I added some smudges of vintage photos and stamped using the butterfly stamp in the same colour as the background so it slightly blended in 
Then stamped the butterfly in grey and fussy cut it out 
Using some other elements out of my fodder stash I put the project together

After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. As English spread to the New World, the common season names split as well and today, American English uses the word fall while British English

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon).
