A project with I heart Art stamps by Saadia Nawaz

Image
Hi Everyone, I want to share a small project with you. I hope you like it.  This was inspired by the colors of the September mood board.  I made this on a 6x6 inches Mixed media board.  Applied the base layers of acrylic paint followed by background stamping with  Mixed media marks  stamp set.  Next, I applied stamped my focal image on a cardstock and colored it lightly. The focal image is from the  I heart Art  stamps.  Finished the project by adding words from the  Mix a sentiment  set.  That's all for now.  A reminder that we have a challenge that goes all month in Rubber Dance stamps Facebook group. You can find the link to the Facebook group  here Thank you for visiting.  Take care,  Saadia Nawaz.  Stamps used:

Butterfly Girl Tag with Embossing and Inks

Image
Hello, my crafty friends!  Mary here with a beautiful mixed media tag that I created using  Butterfly Girl 1  ,  Mix a Sentiment 1 and  Vintage Hotel Receipt  stamps by Rubber Dance .  I love to use embossing as a resist for Distress Oxide Inks.  Adding the lace and tissue paper creates a beautiful touch.   Here's my video tutorial: Here are some close ups of the tag: The stamps I used: Thanks for checking out my tag for the Rubber Dance Design Team.   To find me on FB, IG and YT, search Motley Mixed Media Happy Crafting, Mary

Textured Christmas Trees embossed on Vellum by Dunja

Image
Hello Rubber Dance Fans, time flies, it's autumn right now, but christmas comes by soon...isn't it the same every year. I tried to start making christmas cards earlier, each year, but at the end... you know what i mean ;-) So let's get started with this adorable Textured Christmas Trees. I made a slimline card and used a gelliprint for the background. Bright colors and than i thought about doing some heat embossing on vellum. And that's it. It's perfect for quick and easy christmas cards when time flies. Just cut them out and place them on the card. Here is a close-up for you: I hope you got some inspiration. By the way, christmas cards do not have to be only red and green, i'm a fan of non-traditional colors. Thanks so much for stopping by today and do not forget to start earlier with your christmas-cards-making ;-)) Much Love Dunja

Atc´s Meow Friends

Hello and welcome to today inspiration with me, Veronica.  How are you all keeping?  I enjoy and have a lot of fun creating ATC, today a very colourful duo. I hope you like them.  I have been playing with Rubber Dance's Mixed media marks ,  Grungy Stuff   and  Purr-fect! stamp sets. Very easy to do, we start. We cut watercolor paper in a size  2,5 x 3,5 i nches. In my case, the paper smooth and hot pressed.  Chose one of the stamps from the set,     Mixed media marks   I apply    ink with different colors of distress oxide, spray water and stamp on the watercolor paper. When it is dry, (help me with a heat gun to speed up the process), I add color with different pigments. I started with vibrant colors, and finally I decided on more industrial tones. When I am satisfied with the result, I let it dry. ( I like the backgrounds to dry by themselves, but since I didn't have much time, I got the help of a heat gun). Now we add textures and depth with black permanent ink, prints her

Matchbox Book by Angie Coomber

Image
Hi arty friends, how are you all? This time I have made a little matchbox book for you, I hope you like it. I have a Tim Holtz matchbox die so I cut a couple matchboxes first. Before assembling I coloured them with Paperartsy Infusions. I made a few but I only finished one of them here. I added some stamping with the Doodle Borders stamp set using Distress Oxide inks. I also added some gold splatter (naturally!) and gold mark making. I chose some shades of red and green/blue acrylics and painted them onto a piece of card, then stamped flowers and leaves from the Crazy Flowers set and cut them out. I also used my watercolours to do some mark making on a sheet of ledger paper, then cut a zig zag book to fit in the matchbox from a piece of card. I glued the ledger paper to both sides of the book. Next I assembled the box (I use double sided tape), then decorated both the box and the book with the leaves & flowers, and added a word sticker to the front of the box. Once you have made y

ATC Textured Mushrooms on Gelliprints

Image
Hello Rubber Dance Friends, it's me Dunja today with you on the Rubber Dance Blog. It is autumn, that means beautiful colors out there and it is mushroom time :) I like the textured mushrooms best and I can choose the colors myself :) I'll show you an art journal page at the bottom of my post, there are some more mushrooms and colored in traditional autumn colors. But first I would like to show you my ATCs. ATCs always have a fixed size: 2.5x3.5 inches. I used pa page of my gelliprints and cut them to fit. They are the base.  Then I used the grid stamp with the squares. I used it in different ways, sometimes embossing with WOW! Powders, simply stamped, with pigment inks. You always have the choice of possibilities. I also stamped the head of the mushrooms on gelliprints, with StazOn ink, it is perfect for such things. It dries super fast, does not smudge.  Before that I stamped the stamps on white cardstock and cut them out. I glued the headers on separately. At least just a

CAS butterfly on card and envelope by Ellie Knol

Image
Ellie here today with a little inspiration, I hope you are doing fine!!   For today's card (and envelope)  I chose for a clean-and-simple composition,  which is a style I don't use too often. I masked the butterfly (or moth actually) to be able to stamp the script (Art Defined) 'behind' it.  The images have been colored with watercolor pencils, the blue background with PanPastel.  I splattered white ink to finish it off...  Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Inky Friends Art Defined
