Escape the ordinary by Lisa

Image
Hi dear friends, Lisa today to share with you this art journal Page playing with my favorite watercolors and Rubber Dance Stamps! I started by brushing white gesso on the background and once dry I used watercolors. After I stamped randomly some stamps from Grungy Stuff set, Mix A Sentiment and Doodle Flowers set with archival inks.   I  let it dry and I brushed a little bit of white paint only in some points to create white spaces. So I made some stencil using purple archival ink. On a piece of white cardstock I stamped one flower from the set, I cutted it and I glued on my page as it was to give contrast to the watercolor background.  Finally I glued a sticker with the sentiment and I made splatters with black acrylic paint. I used these stamps from Rubber Dance Shop:   Grungy Stuff Mix A Sentiment #1    Doodle Flowers I hope you enjoyed my art journal inspiration! Thanks for stopping by Lisa

Art Journal - Anything Grow by Dunja

Here I am again, with another page in my Art Journal. I've neglected it for a while, but hey, it's so much fun, I have to do it much more often :-) Today I experimented with some things like gesso, acrylic paints, crayons. I primed the sides with heavy gesso and used Gelli Plate Prints, cut out circles and glued them on the pages. Afterwards I chose crayons in matching colours and gave the circles more depth and dimension. Then i colored the the floral stamps with watercolors and put them on the circles. With different stamps I set accents and stamped the sentiment.   Here are the stamps I used:

Image
Hello. It´s Jessica here, hope everyone is safe and well. Today I have an art journal page to share with you. . I have used words from the Affirmations set and flowers and leaves from the Loose florals set as a focal point. But I started the page with old bookpages, a stencil and modeling paste and colored it with sprays. Then I finished the page by adding contrast. Some of the things I did was coloring the letters and dry brushing on the raised texture. Here are some close up pictures. Thank you for stopping by! Stay safe and well! Colorful Cards

Image
Hello creative friends!  How are you all keeping?  Vero (@vero.kt) is here with two new colorful cards that I hope you like.  I have been playing with some of the new stamps.  Mixed media marks  and  Believe in You . Very easy to do, we start. We cut watercolor paper to the size we want. In my case, the paper is smooth and hot pressed.  The next step is to color with different oxide inks, (as if they were watercolors) to gradually form the background. To give that gloss effect to inks that are matte, I have added perfect perls powders to the water. When the backgroud dries, I emboss in white, choose one of the stamps from the set  Mixed media marks  and  Grungy Stuff  . Now we add textures and depth with black permanent ink, prints here and there.  I have also used to stamp oxide inks. After stamping and coloring, the funniest part comes, the composition and we would finish with our cards.  Now I leave you some photos with detai

Art Journal - Dreams can be anything

Image
Hello Rubber Dance Friends, i'm back today with my art journal.  I was sitting in the garden when I did this, so please excuse me, no step-by-step pictures this time, just one.  I chose something in my papers, which I designed with the Gelliplate. A bright pink. Plus the mushrooms from Rubber Dance, a great combo, right?  With the StazOn you can work perfectly on Gelliplate imprints.  I colored and designed the pages of my art journal with gesso and acrylic colors. Without a brush, I prefer to work with my fingers, you have more feeling and can work more precisely than with a brush. Give it a try :))  I finally cut out the mushrooms and glued them on the designed sides. Some sentiments from the text stamp set and that's it. Here is a close-up for you I hope you enjoyed it :)) See you soon and stay safe!

"I'm not anti-social" Altered Book Page by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello creative friends! How are you all keeping? Angie here with an altered book page for you. I hope you like it. To begin with I added some bits and pieces of ephemera and washi tape to my book pages to add interest. I glued these down with gel medium, then added some texture paste through a stencil. When the pages were dry I painted them with the colours shown in the picture, then added some patches of white paint to tone the colours down a bit. I also used the same colours through a stencil. I left a fairly light patch on the right and stamped the girl's face from the "Believe in you" stamps set  on this. I added some patches of black paint, which makes the colours pop, white & gold splatter and white mark making, and used a purple distress crayon to create a darker background around the girl. Finally I stamped the quote from the "Sarcastic Superpower" stamp set onto a piece of card, glued it onto the page and a
