Fabulous Friend Tag by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello arty friends, Angie here with a tag for you. I'm always making things for my friends (where would we be without them?) and this time I chose to make a tag. I've been doing A LOT of gelli printing lately (it'so addictive, right?!), so I chose a few prints which I thought might work together and used one of them to create a tag. I then used the flower stamp on various gelli prints and cut them out - some green ones for the leaves and some shades of red for the flowers. I cut out the individual flowers and buds from the one I liked best and glued them to a green piece. I used embossing ink and crystal embossing powder to emboss some flowers on the tag, as well as stamping them in grey archival ink. I also used another background stamp from the same set. I used guilding wax on the edges of the tag. Next I glued the flower to one side of the tag and then stamped a sentiment which I also added to the tag. Finally, some stickles for a little sparkle... Have a creative weeke

Tri-Fold Tag Card

Image
Hello Rubber Dance friends.  Gail here with a tri-fold tag card.   This is the front of the card And it opens up like this I started with a 20 x 30 cm piece of green Bazzill Dots card.  I folded it in three, cut the corners to give my tag shape and inked the edges. I cut my tags from Authentique designer card using a Stamplorations stitched tag die.  I stamped the girl from This Is Me and hearts, grid and scribbly circles from Mixed Media Marks in shades of pink.  I added a girl die cut from peach card.  More hearts and stitches from Mixed Media Marks and the girl from Believe In You stamped in shades of pink. I've added a pocket on this tag so I can include a gift card or cash.  The balloon is die cut and embossed.  All the black stamped words come from both This Is Me and Believe In You .  I added some jumbo pebble brads to the top of each tag.   Thanks for dropping by.  I hope you feel inspired to get out your stamps and create.   Share your makes using Rubber Dance stamps

Atc´s Pencil Marks

Image
Hello, I'm Vero (@Vero.kt) and I welcome you to the inspiration of today Wednesday. How's everybody?  I've been  playing  with Rubber Dance's   Pencil Marks #1 ,  I nky Friends   and    Mixed media marks     to create a colorfu  Atcs  that I hope you like. I tell you that the first thing I do when the new Rubber Dance stamps arrive home, I test them on different sheets, with different inks to get familiar with them. On this occasion, I chose to try them on the Gelli Plate with acrylic paints (I had been watching Susanne's videos and I wanted to do my versions) When I had a number of papers /backgrounds ready, the ones I liked the most were cut down to the size of an atc (2.5 x 3,5 inches). I kept adding layers and textures, with black permanent inks, a bit of white embossing (try this technique, the definition is ideal). Finally it's time to stamp and color the stamp you chose from the set Inky Friends. One of the parts that I enjoy the most is the composition

Artist Trading Cards - be happy

Image
Happy Monday everyone, I'm showing you two ATCs today.  The base is a Gelli print that I foiled.  I also made the flowers out of Gelliprints. In my experience, StazOn adheres best to Gelliprints without smearing. That's always a pity, isn't it? So I only use this one. The little cut-out butterflies are just a small addition as decoration.  Enjoy a good week, stay creative and healthy. Dunja xx

Clean and Simple Birthday with Sketchy Flowers and Inky Friends

Image
Hello Rubber Dance fans.  Gail here today with a clean and simple birthday card featuring Rubber Dance Sketchy Flowers 2 and one of the Inky Friends butterflies.  I used a slightly textured cream card base and stamped the butterfly slightly off the card edge with black archival ink.  Then I masked it and stamped the flower cluster with Prickly Pear archival for a soft look.  I watercoloured with blue and green distress inks.  The card base wasn't totally happy with the water, but I placed a heavy book on it just before it was totally dry and it straightened out quite nicely.  To finish I stamped the Happy Birthday with Library Green archival.  Again, a little softer look that the black.   Thanks for dropping by.  I hope you feel inspired to get out your stamps and create.   Join the fun and link up your makes using Rubber Dance stamps in the Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge .  See you there!!! Don't forget to check out the Rubber Dance webshop .  There is a selection of st

Another Handsome Hedgehog Card by Dot Leathbridge

Image
Hi everyone. I am back today with another Handsome Hedgehog card for you. Last time I toyed with the idea of using different mushrooms in the background as an after thought. So this time I thought it might be fun to bring this idea to life. You can see the other Handsome Hedgehog card here. The 2 cards look totally different. The mushrooms that have been added into the background are Funny Fungi . I think they go well with the zentangle image of Handsome Hedgehog . Here are some more pics for you showing the background and close ups. The background has been made using alcohol inks and a stencil on a gel plate. As I like to fiddle and relax as I craft, my pencils were used to add some more colour highlights and to add more depth.   There are some white patchy parts on the background which often happens with gel printing. This helped me decide where to place my images so that more of the colourful background would show through. The background was quite busy and full of colour so the Hand

Notebook gelliprinted Sketchy Flowers by Ellie Knol

A booklet with some printer paper cut to size (6 double pages) as the signatures, sewn right to the cover.  The base is a gelliprint pulled from my 5x8 inch gelliplate. I use this smaller one to cleanup my brayer, an the bigger 8x10 inch for the actual printing.  I even printed onto stickers, but that is a project still in progress.    Stamp the Sketchy Flowers onto the cover with Potting Soil Archival Ink and ...  ... color the images with touches of color, to match the color in the background, with watercolor pencils.  Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Pencil Marks #1 Sketchy Flowers #1 Old Book Page
