Art Journal What a girl wants

Image
Hi, I'm Vero (@ Vero.kt) and I welcome you to today's inspiration. How's everybody ? I've been playing with   Mixed media marks ,   Round in circles ,  What a girl wants ,   and   , Mix a sentiment 2      to create a page in my Art Journal. I hope you like. On an A4 watercolor card I played with spray inks and some rubber dance stamps to create the background. When the inks are dry, cut the pages to A6 size . Then started stamping different stamps with oxide inks in tones similar to the background to add texture to the page. One of the parts that I enjoy the most is the composition, I have to admit that it is  usually the part that takes me the most. And this time when arranging the elements, I felt that texture was missing, so I added some stars with a stencil and cracked effect paste Now I leave you some photos with details of the project.I hope you like it as much as I do when making them.                          Here are the Rubber  D ance Stamps I used: Mixed me

Mixed media tags by Angie Coomber

Hello arty friends,  how are you all? I have really fallen in love with the Carved Collection 5 stamp set and wanted to play with it some more, so here are some tags I made. I started by sprinkling Colour Burst Powders on my craft mat, spritzing with water and then dipping my stamp in the colour and stamping on book pages. I used greens/blues & yellow for this and love how the colours blend into each other. Next I cut some tags and covered them with brown packing paper (rescued from a delivery). I added some background stamping using embossing ink and white embossing powder. I cut out my stamped flower shapes and arranged them on the tags, using green tones on one and blue tones on the other, then glued them down. I did a little bit of rough scribbling around the circles to make them look more dimensional.  I also embossed around the edges using a lovely silvery/blue embossing powder. Next I stamped some words on cream paper - I often prefer cream to the starkness of white. I cut

Keep calm - Art journal Page by Farida

Hello lovlies, I am happy to be here again with a new art journal page, again with a cat theme....I just can't get my hands off this cute stamp set . Just loooove cats. I have this little mini art journal where I sometimes prepare pages. So if I have some intresting scraps or letovers I do prepare some pages, like  I have done this double page in the past.  So my next step is to bring in some colours. Here I used some greens from my Oxide Ink pad and from a watercolour pen.  While the background is drying I took out a scrap piese of paper, to use up the rest colour taht was left. And also added the Burlap stamp on it.  Next I stamped, coloured and fuzzy cutted the sitting cat. As I didn't leave a white border around it, I stamped the cat on the burlap-piece of paper, so it gets back all its whiskers.  To get my art journal page together I glued down the "burlap-piece" and the cat. To give the cat a ground to sit on, I used some washi-tape stripes.  For the sentiment

Hej Rubber Dance Friends, i'm sharing a bunch of Artist Trading Cards today. It's a set of four this time and i'm using the Doodle Flowers, one of the pretty flower stampsets by Rubber Dance. Do you have a favorite stampset? I've done some Gelprints with Acryliccolors and used a stencil by Alexandra Renke, it's a bit grungy and i thought this was perfect for the background. I've applied some modeling paste and added a transparent embossing powder over it. It gives the background a little shiny thing. The flowers were stamped twice, on an old book page as well on a piece of vellum and embossed with an opaque white. I did some sewing also and added a sentiment on each ATC. Thanks a lot for stopping by. We all appreciate your comments and likes as well. Join our Rubber Dance Facebook Group, there are more inspirations a monthly giveaway as well. Atc´s Sketchy Birds

Hi, I'm Vero (@ Vero.kt) and I welcome you to today's inspiration. How's everybody ? I've been playing with   Mixed media marks ,   Round in circles , Mix a sentiment 2  and  Sketchy Birds   to create a  colorful Atc´s that I hope you like. Very easy to do, we started. We cut watercolor paper to a size of 2.5 x 3.5 inches, if you prefer to work in cm, 6.4x8.9. In my case, the paper is smooth and hot pressed, and I color the backgrounds with pigment s. When the backgrounds dry (we can speed up the process with a heat gun) we will add texture and depth with different inks, in my case I have used distress oxide. To start, I choose a stamp from the  Mixed media marks  , apply the inks, spray water, and stamp, (I'm not looking for definition, I'm looking for a watercolor effect, watery). Help myself with the dryer and go back to stamp with different inks, to continue adding depth and texture. It is the turn of the sewing machine. One of the parts that I enjoy the mo
