Mixed Media Notebook with the Inky Friends

Hey dear Rubber Dance friends, today there is no card, no ATCs, but of course again a gel print I used. 

I worked on linen the other day. So I made some nice prints and a section of them became the cover of this notebook. I sewed it onto the paper.

StazOn is great for working on gel prints without smudging. That would be a shame, wouldn't it? I used some background stamps and the beetle. I stamped it black on white, cut it out and embossed it once in gold on a piece of gel print.

After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon).
