Be A Star by Dot Leathbridge

Hi everyone, Today I'm sharing some more inspiration with you using one of my favourite stamps. The elephant from African Animals. This is a slimline card. I had a gel plate that was just the right size for this project. The gel print uses a couple of colours from our Mood Board this month. I put down the purple, then placed a stencil on top.  Using some photocopy paper I removed some of the paint from between the stencil design. The light colour is what I applied to lift the print. Once it was dry I stamped some leaves from I Love Leaves and Big Maple. If you are having a go at this, you'll need to allow plenty of drying time. Both for the paint and the stamping parts. On a scrap piece of gel printing from a past project, I stamped  the elephant from African Animals . I sat it on the gel print to see what space it took up. As I wanted to be able to still see the leaves I decided at this point that I only needed to add some words in order to finish it off. Plus a little doodl

Atc´s Flowers

Hi, I'm Vero (@ Vero.kt) and I welcome you to today's inspiration. How's everybody ? I've been playing with   Mixed media marks ,   , Mix a sentiment  2  ,  Sketchy Flowers 3    and  Pencil marks 2   to create a  colorful Atc´s that I hope you like. A few days before, prepare several backgrounds with the Gelli plate and acrylic paints, we are going to use them for the base of the atc's, we cut to a size of 2.5 x 3.5 inches, if you prefer to work in cm, 6.4x8.9.  When the backgrounds dry (we can speed up the process with a heat gun) we will add texture and depth with different inks, in my case I have used  distress oxide. To start, I choose a stamp from the  Mixed media marks  and  Mix a sentiment 2   apply the inks, spray water, and stamp, (I'm not looking for definition, I'm looking for a watercolor effect, watery) . Help myself with the dryer and go back to stamp with different inks, to continue adding depth and texture. I choose one of the stamps from t

Hello, Samantha here today :) I just love to make pretty things to have around my home and to give as gifts, here's one that started as a gift but I just may keep it! Just for a change I stuck to just one stamp set - the beautiful Celestial. This is a quick and easy project to make, it's an artist trading coin that stands upright in a little mount. I used a Sizzix impresslit to create the wings and paste on the coin to add texture. The eclipse is one stamped image, coloured with watercolurs and glued in place. Finishing touches include gold sparkly paint and white highlights. (The heart and text stamps are from my stash). I do hope you like it, thanks so much for looking. Here's the stamp set I used: Celestial  Wishing you a lovely day, Sam :)

Lace Doilies Card by Angie Coomber

Hello arty friends, How are you doing? I have a card using the beautiful Lace Doilies stamps today, hope you like it. I don't actually own a lot of coloured ink pads, so I used acrylic paints for stamping. I apply the paint on the stamp with a sponge (you really don't need very much!). I chose shades of pink/purple/blue/turquoise and didn't mind them mixing a little bit on the craft mat. Just make sure you clean the paint off straightaway so it doesn't go hard on your stamps. I cut out the individual doilies and made little stacks of 2 or 3. When I was happy with the colour combinations I glued them together. I chose a DL size card and used one of the doily stamps to emboss the card. For this I used holographic embossing powder (I love the sparkly effect). I arranged my doily stacks on the card, with the biggest one in the bottom right corner as I wanted to place a quote on top of this. I stamped the quote on white card, cut it out and stuck it on using foam pads. Fina
