Do What You Love Art Journal Page by Lisa

Image
Hi everyone!  Lisa today on the blog and I'd love to share with you my new art journal page playing with my favorite Rubber Dance stamps and watercolors! To start I glued some big pieces of book page and I brushed a coat of clear gesso on all over to protect the paper.  So I used my watercolors on the page and once dry I made some stamps from Grungy Circles and Grungy Stuff sets. I chose Grungy Butterflies set and I made some stamps on a piece of White cardstock, so I cutted them. I stamped and embossed the sentiment on a piece of black cardstock.  Finally I made splatters with some liquid paints.  I used these products from the shop:  https://www.rubberdance.de/small-sheets/grungy-stuff/#cc-m-product-14004441033 https://www.rubberdance.de/single-stamps/grungy-circles/#cc-m-product-14064938833 https://www.rubberdance.de/small-sheets/small-grungy-butterflies/#cc-m-product-14073807733 I hope you enjoyed my art journal inspiration!  Hugs, Lisa

"You belong among the flowers" Art Journal Page by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello arty friends! Angie here with an art journal page for you. I started by creating a background with Distress Inks and Distress Oxides. I swipe the inkpad on my non-stick mat, spritz with water and pick up the wet ink with a piece of plastic sleeve, then dab it on my page until I'm happy with the result. I did this with various greens and yellows for the grass, blues for the sky. I used the Weed Love stamp set and Distress inks to add some background stamping, as well as the Mix A Sentiment #2 stamp and black archival ink. I swiped some more Distress Inks onto a piece of paper and when dry, I stamped some of  the images from the beautiful new Celestial stamp set and the Loose Florals #2 set. I cut out the images I was happiest with and adhered them to the page, using one of the borders from the Doodle Borders #1 stamp set as stems for the flowers. Finally, yes, you've guessed it, some white doodling and a quote!! I hope you like it. Hugs from Angie x Stamps used: Celestial

Believe In You By Dot

Image
Hello everyone, welcome to a fun tutorial using some of the new stamps that Rubber Dance have released this year. Isn't she a beautiful stamp? It is from the set called Believe In You. Here is a step x step tutorial for you so see how this was made. She was stamped onto some tissue paper then turned over and white paint was added to the image. Some colours, from our Mood Board this month, were added to a gelli plate. Using a brayer spread the paint thinly over the plate. If it is too much paint you can roll the excess onto some scrap paper or directly into your art journal. One of my favourite stencils was placed onto the gelli plate. The brayer still had the paint on it from when the paint had been spread over the gelli plate. Without adding any more paint, simply roll over the gelli plate with a brayer. After lifting the stencil off, place white card onto your gelli plate. Rub over it well, either

Atc´s coins Little Witch

Image
Hello and welcome to the post on Friday. How are you all keeping ?.   I enjoy and have a lot of fun creating ATC, today in round format (coins) and very colorful, I hope you like them Maybe you already have the new Rubber Dance stamps and as in my case, you couldn't resist releasing them.Such gorgeous  brand new stamp sets . Have you seen them all? I chose the  Little Witch  , lovely truth?   I've also been playing with   Mixed media marks   and  Collage Elemnts Very easy to do, we start. We cut watercolor paper that measures  2 1/2 inches diameter if you prefer in centimeters  by 6,4 cm approximately. And I color the backgrounds with inks. When the backgroud dries, I emboss in white, choose one of the stamps from the set  Collage Elemnts . Now we add textures and depth with black permanent ink, prints here and there. One of the parts that I enjoy the most is the composition.I have to admit that it is usually the part that takes me the longest.  We already have our atcs ready.N
