Autumn Tag by Angie Coomber

Hello arty friends, how are you?

I am in our camper van as I'm writing this and it is very wet and windy outside.

I set myself a little challenge for this project. I gathered together a collection of autumn themed bits and pieces and brought them with me to see what I could come up with.

I began by glueing some bits of ephemera to the tag to create a background.

I then chose some stamped mushrooms and leaves and arranged them around the sides of the tag.

I added one of Tim Holtz's paper dolls, some green-gold watercolour splatter, "confetti", some black and white doodling as well an as an autumnal quote.

I hope you like it! Hugs from Angie x

Little Witch Card

Hello and welcome to today's inspiration Monday. How is everyone? I enjoy and have a lot of fun creating cards, and if it's Halloween-themed, even more. I hope you like it.

I have been playing with Rubber Dance's Mixed media marks, Grungy Sequins Boo to You  and Little Witch.

To begin with, I have cut a circle with scalloped edges in watercolor paper.I add color like a watercolor with the pigments.

When I get the desired shades I let it dry or I help myself with a heat gun.I add stamps and embossing in white to the background

One of the most fun parts of the creative process for me is coloring and cutting. This time I have colored with watercolor pencils.

Now it's time to arrange the elements to finish the composition. Here are several photos of the project so you can appreciate the details.

I hope you enjoyed and don't forget to visit regularly. The team has amazing inspirations every day, just for you.

Alcohol Ink Gel Plate Printed Tag With Textured Birds

Hello to all my crafty friends!  Mary here with another blog post for the Rubber Dance DT.  Today I have a tag for you, featuring Textured Birds and Grungy Swirls on an awesome alcohol ink gel plate printed background.  If you haven't used alcohol inks yet, well, you're in for a real treat.  They are vibrant and fast drying, and are easy to use on your gel plate.  I have a quick tutorial below on how I used alcohol inks to make this cute tag.

Here are some closeups:

ATC Trio - Share some Love

Happy Saturday Rubber Dance Friends,

let me quickly say something that is not related to my blog post itself. Corona is on everyone's lips, worldwide. We, the creative people who bring color into the world, should share this much more often. Send a card or a letter to a dear person you cannot meet right now. Handmade cards are something for the heart, we all know that, right? Please share some love when you can đŸ’—

What about some Artist Trading Cards today?

I use my Gelliplate very gladly and often. Thereby so many backgrounds are created, which I like to use, so also today for the ATCs.

First I used a stencil and structure paste. In the still wet paste I sprinkled embossing powder and heated it. This structure looks fabulous, doesn't it?

Embossed stamp motifs on vellum always look wonderful, you can see the effects in the background and have a nice motif, very noble in the foreground. These flower stamps are perfect for this.

Here are the three ATCs that i made.

Thank you very much for your time to stop by and read. For much more inspiration please visit our Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge on Facebook. We are looking forward to meeting you!

Stay healthy and be creative! Make the world more colorful.

Best Wishes
Dunja xx

Doodle Flowers on Brayered Paints by Ellie Knol

This time I've used an A5 sized background with leftover paints from rolling off the brayer while gelliprinting.

As you can see: it was lime green, an opaque and purple, a semi-transluscent paint.

I stamped the flower right on top of the paint and added extra color (reds and oranges) with a watercolor pencil.

To complete it I stamped with a red and green ink in the background.
A torn edge adds interest too.

Hope you like it!!

Space Cat by Samantha Read

Hello, Samantha here today and I'd like to share with you a hanging home decor item I made.
I hope you can see I had so much fun with this lovely little cat from the Little Witch stamp set, he's off on a wonderful space adventure.

I started off with a round piece of cardboard and ripped off some of the top layer to add texture and contrast. (The UFO stencil I'm quite proud of as I suggested it to Sarah, the owner of Funky Fossil Designs and she did it!)

The little moon is from the What A Girl Wants stamp set and is just the right size for this make. I used lots of glittery star sequins and mirco beads to add more sparkle. I used some of the Journal Words stamps for background depth and Weed Love for some foreground foliage.

To finish I added some inky splats in black and silver, glitter on the beam of light and crackle accents on the space ship windows. The kitty has glossy accent eyes too.

I do hope you like it, thanks for looking and I hope you have a lovely day, Sam :)

Leftovers Mixed Media Booklets by Ellie Knol

Just a quickie today..

I had some leftover pieces from a masterboard ...

I used them as the front covers for two booklets;
gesso on kraft always work well together...

...  some extra stamping, ...

(This was the complete masterboard)

and more white ... and voila, done.
