Simplicity Sunday ATCs with Asia

Hi everyone, so happy to be here on Rubber Dance blog with my very easy project for Simplicity Sunday:) For this set of ATCs I prepared my background by coloring an acrylic block with my ordinary markers, making lines of color a little like a rainbow. I sprayed it ever so slightly with water and pressed it onto a mixed media paper. I cut out two ATC size cards and  made black outline  with Uni Ball black pen. I decided to use this gorgeous Phone Home stamp by stamping one side of the girl on one card, the other side- on the other card. The stamped girls are overlapping a little each other, but I felt like this will be the best option to simply fill up more the empty space on the cards. I added two sentiments from Bling, Bling! stamp set, painted the wings with glitter markers and added some glitter to the  girl's"bellies". Just Keep Swimming - A Clean and Simple Card by Sue

Hello and welcome to C&S Friday! It's Sue here with a fishy card. Now I must admit that clean and simple does scare me a little, and I did have a bit of a false start (I stamped my sentiment upside down) but I'm really happy with how it turned out. I just masked off the top and bottom of my card with removable magic tape then blended a Distress Ink panel. Then I stencilled gesso through a circle stencil, and carfully removed the tape. So far so good! This is where the stamping platform really comes into it's own. I could stamp my fish, and if they didn't take too well over the gesso I can just re-stamp. I know it's C&S, but adding a layer isn't banned (I checked) but I did keep my stitching neat, and black (I think magenta would have looked nice ;-) ) The sentiment is also from the Something Fishy  plate. Stamps Used Something Fishy I have to say that C&S is growing on me, and I really enjoyed making this. Have a lovely day, and

Simplicity Sunday - A Simple Tag by Donna Gray

Image
Hi everyone, It's Donna with you today to show you how to make this simple tag with only 3 stamps ;) I took a size 8 manilia tag and swooshed it through some diluted Distress Oxides on my craft mat (I used a brown, orange and grey). After it was dried thoroughly I then used some more brown Distress Oxide and a  That's Crafty! Mini Stencil  to create the cogs effect you see. I just wanted it to be subtle and not over power the main stamping. Next step was to use this wonderful stamp called  da Vinci Body Sketch  and stamp it directly on the tag with black Archival ink. I added a little shading around her with a grey Zig Clean Colour pen but nothing else as I wanted the background to show through her making her almost transparent. I then took the little heart that hangs from the tree in   Whimsical Summer , coloured it with a red pen and adhere it to the stamped figure. Then using a dots stamp from the  Textured Feathers  set I stamped that in black Archival ink

CASual Friday Journal Page

Hello everyone Debs here with a quick and simple journal page, using some strips of colour for the background created using a Gelli plate and stamped flowers for the feature. A really quick and easy method of creating something a bit different. It’s easily adapted for use on cards, ATCs of even your mixed media projects. Some close ups It’s a bit busy for your usual Clean and Simple makes but those that know we me will appreciate for me two layers only is a bit of an accomplishment lol. Anyway hope you like it, as I enjoyed creating it, which I hope shows. Materials I used  DecoArt Media Fluids (great on a Gelli Plate, and have many translucent colours) Glitter Pens by Nuvo Tonic Studios  Stamps I used are below.  Textured Flowers Butterfly Trio Take care everyone and see you all soon Hugsxx
