Hi Folks and welcome to the Rubber Dance Blog.  Majo here. Today I 'd like to show you a card I made with the beautiful Dragonfly . I started with a piece of scrap paper, I always have lots of inked paper at hand. This one is made with Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar, Bundled Sage and Tumbled Glass. I stamped the dragonfly and the sentiment and colored my main image with the colours mentioned above, just to make it stand out a bit. To give my card a frame, I stamped the stitches from the Grungy Borders set and on the corners the little "balls" from the Fish Diet set . I hope you also love dragonflies as much as I do, they're so very light and shimmery. I love to watch them in our garden. Here are some close ups ... And these are the stamps I used: Dragonfly and Leaf Sentiment from the Set Grungy Butterflies Little balls from the Set Fish Diet Stitches from the Set Grungy Borders This is where you can get all the beauties:

Hello ... from me to you.

Hi everyone, I recently got the Alphabet Uno set of stamps from Rubber Dance and decided to have a play with the letters. It is so liberating and fun to be able to make your own words! The giraffe, from African Animals , has long been a favourite stamp of mine.  This card uses the word HELLO, which is also part of the  African Animals set.  So it was easy to use the word twice.   Once in a small font and again as large letters. The letters have been cut into strips so that they can be used easier. Simply mask off the letters that you want, ink them up and stamp them out. A little colour to match the theme this month  and that part was done. The background was heaps of fun too. Simply scrape the paint in layers onto your card with a credit card. It was fun to keep adding layer after layer. I made a white painty area in the middle for the letters to go. The background and the letters match. The other stamp set that I've use

A journal spread tutorial with Beautiful bugs stamp by Saadia Nawaz

Image
Hi everyone,  Saadia here: I want to share with a journal page with you. I hope you like it.  Unfortunately I forgot to take step by step pictures but I will try to describe all the steps.   I applied a coat of white gesso to a page in my Dylusions square journal. After that, I  applied blue and green acrylic paints through a stencil by Dylusions. Next step was, background stamping with Archival inks. I used  Art defined stamp set  and  Grungy stuff  stamp set for background stamping.  Stamped small dragonflies from  Beautiful bugs   stamp set. I stamped them at 3 sites with Archival ink.  Next, I stamped the quote from  Think again  stamp set. That's all for now.  A reminder that we have a challenge that goes all month on our face book page which you can find Here . It is always ANYTHING GOES/ or a colour combo if you wish Thank you for visiting.  Take care and keep crafting.  Saadia Nawaz.  Products used:

"Live simply, bloom wildly" by Angie Coomber

Hello again! I'm so happy to be able to show you another one of my project. This art journal page is inspired by Tracy Scott, whose style I really admire. To begin with I covered the page with some vintage ephemera (old book pages, scrapbook papers - whatever you have in your stash) and glued everything down with gel medium. Next I painted the page with acrylic paints - pink, turquoise, lime green and a touch of white for blending. I then added a little bit of background stamping using black Archival Ink, followed by a little bit of white stencilling. Next I stamped and embossed some of the flowers from the Rubber Dance Antique Botanicals set onto white card and cut them out. I added some mark making using various small bottle lids. I used the pink paint and some gold paint for this as well as the paint splatter. Finally I adhered the stamped flowers as well as a typed quote. I'd love to hear what you think! Thank

Tag with a Grungy Butterfly by Evelyn

Image
Hello lovely Rubber Dancer, it´s Evelyn here today! I am sitting in front of my caravan while writing this post. I´m in my holidays in Italy and - call me crazy - I have brought some of my art supplies with me. So I can spend some time in the morning, before I go to the beach, and some time in the evening, creating lovely things 😋😉😊. This time I made a tag with one of the gorgeous Grungy Butterflies . I really love them and want to use them all the time! I started with a tag and glued down snippets of old book pages and a lot of diecut gears. Then I added white Gesso and white crackle paint and let it dry. I sprinkled the Magicals from the Industrial Chic set, starting with the lightest color, and spritzed carefully with water. So I added one after the other color. When the colors were dry, I dabbed white Gesso onto some parts of the colored tag to lighten it up. Next I stamped the beautiful Grungy Butterflies with black ink, colored them with acr
