Cardmaking with Dot Leathbridge

 Hello everyone,
It's my turn to share some inspiration with you today.
Not everything works out the way we would like it to does it?
This card background is a gelli plate image transfer that didn't really work.

After a little bit of "fiddling" and a little Rubber Dance magic
I think it has turned out well.

The image transfer background didn't quite work, it looked wish-washy and pale
with the image was barely visible.
The background areas were coloured with pencils to help the transfer image
of the female to pop a little.
Along with some black fine liner to help some areas stand out on her face.

I made a rough mask with photo copy paper.
Really, it was nothing fancy!  Just enough for what I wanted to try though.
Then using La Luna I stamped the image so that it is a little behind the image transfer.

See how she is just poking out?
I added some colours to her using this month's Mood Board for inspiration.

I thought it would be kind of cool to have another female image in the foreground.
For this I used an image from This Is Me.
The colouring has been done with the same colours as what was used
on La Luna.
As an after thought I added some black stenciling behind her.

The words are from Affirmations.
This set is one of those that just keep on giving!

For a little more background detail you'll see some word stamps.
They are from Art Defined.
And extra stenciling, again using colours from our Mood Board.
To finish the card I've added a little shading around the edges with
black ink.

You'll find more wonderful inspiration over in our facebook group.
And more May Inspiration on our blog here and here.

The stamps used on this card are:

A cheeky little reminder that Rubber Dance stamps are also available
in Australia through Ink Art Designs.

I hope you liked my card today.
Sometimes, if we are lucky, we can rescue some crazy backgrounds
with a little Rubber Dance magic.
