Dreaming Cat Card by Farida

Image
Hello lovlies, so happy to welcome you on the blog again. Hope you are doing well? This time I got a video for you again, showing how I assambled this card.  I prepared a piece of vellum, that is slightly smaller than my card base, by stamping several mandalas from the Mandalas Stamp set .  And the sentiment from the Affirmations set were stamped on some white cardstock.  Before the card is ready to be assambled I had so stamp and colour the Garden Cat by using my watercolours.  And here is my Reel on how I assabled the card. Enjoy and happy crafting. Farida

Flowery card with an affirmation by Farida

Image
Hello lovlies, happy so see you again. Today I made an encouraging flowery card. I wanted to use some watercolours so I choosed a watercolour cardstock to stamp the inky flower stamps .  I had fun letting the wet colour flowing over the images and adding some details and intrest to the leaves and petals. After letting the coloured images dry completely, I fuzzy cutted every image using some sharp scissors.  On a piece of paper, that is slightly smaller than my card base, I glued all the fuzzy cutted images over the whole background paper piece.  Because the space between the images looked a bit empty I added some clear drops.  And finally its time for a sentiment to finish off the card.  Therefor I choosed the Affirmation Stamp set.   So that the sentiment shows up a bit better on the colourful background, I let it be black and white and added some foam tape underneath the big and bold sentiment.  I am happy with how this card turned out. Hopeful...

Hello Spring - Butterflies Card by Farida

Image
Hello lovlies, so nice to be here on the blog again. This time it was a bit hard for me to get foccused. But once started I was in the flow and forgot about all this overloaded feeling about all this thing happening in the world currently. Art is therapy for, does it help you too? So lets get started... First I started stamping a butterfly from the I nky Butterfly , the grungy Butterfly # 1 and the grungy butterfly #2 . For colouring I used my favourite medium, the alcohol markers. I kept the colour scheme on the butterflies in violet, purple, pink. So kept it for the background, using some distress oxides. So that the background don't look that flat I added some modelling paste through a stencil. As the next step I took a slimline card base in a violet colour to match my slightly monochromatic colour scheme, trimmed the background to a card panel size so that there will be a frame aroud it and glued it onto the cardbase.  The butterflies were glued down on top of the stenci...

Hello Autumn - Art Journal Page by Farida

Image
Hello lovies, Farida here. It's nice to welcome you again here on the blog. To welcome this year's autumn I created an autumn themed mini art journal double page.  I used the Textured Mushroom stamp set, that just arrived and are new to me. And I can tell you, it gives me so much inspiration, so stay tuned for my upcoming project with this stamp set á la 'stretch your stamps', where I will use the mushrooms as something else ;) You can tell, I might have a new favourite stamp set. But let's get back to this project. I used my sparkle brush pens to colour the mushrooms in a fancy colourful colour range, trying to have some lighter and darker areas so to get a kind of dimensional look.  The background was created a while ago and was ready to use in my mini art journal.  I used some water colours on the background.  For a bit more interest I added some stencilling with a white paste.  To finish an art journal page I always like to add a quote. For this ...

Spooky Art Journal Page with Farida

Image
Hello lovelies,  Farida here. Wonderful to see you here again. Thank you for stopping by.  Are you celebrating Halloween? We don't really do this...but as it is October I was inspired by this theme. So I created a mini Art Journal Page.  I love this little witch hat from the Little Witch Stamp set. But this time I wanted to give it to something else than the witch itself.  So I gave it to him...this little bird from the Sketchy Bird Stamp Set. To give him a whimsical look I coloured him in green and just gave him a orange beak. To finish the page I drew a branch myself, coloured it and gave it to the bird, so he can sit on something. Last I stamped the word 'believe' from the Affirmations stamp set.  Wish you all a happy, healthy and crafty day. Greetings from Farida <3

SKETCHY FLOWERS CARD by Josi Tomas

Image
Hi Rubber Dance friends!! Josi Tomàs is writing to show you a new tutorial step by step for how to make this beautiful and easy card with the lovely sketchy flower. ______________________________________________ STEP BY STEP 1. First apply acrylic paint with the help of a roller and in two colors over white cardboard or watercolor paper. I chose electric blue and lilac (also you can use white) and my card measures 4 1/2 by 5 inches. 2. I made embossing using shimmering translucent powders and my Distress Oxide ink. Did you know this? Distress ink and Oxide ink they are slow drying inks and used with translucent powders allow you to emboss in many colors. I have also used white powders to combine it. 3. To finish the background I chose the harlequin stamp which I stamped with Distress Oxide in violet and machines sewn the edges.   4. The decoration is very easy to make it. I did different stamps and then I cut them out: a. Sketchy flower on a soft lilac card stock. b. T...
