Inky friend Affirmation Tag Book by Toni and a Giveaway!

 


Hey everyone, Toni here.  I hope you're all well 

Today I'm bringing you a little tag booklet using lots of ribbon and stitching and some beautiful sunflowers from the Flowers Gone Wild, two of my favourite Inky Friends & a perfect positive quote from the Affirmations set 


First I used my favourite masking tape to bind the tags then I added some embossed brick paper and filled the gaps in with Crackle effect paste 

 
Using some Distress sprays I added lots of texture.
Then lightly rubbed some white gesso over the top to add some definition


Adding some stitching using my sewing machine to frame the tags 
I stamped the Moth & Bee from Inky Friends on 
acetate and embossed it with black embossing 
powder to give it a stained glass window affect 
Stamped the sunflowers from Flowers Gone Wild and 
cut out just the heads, along with a quote from 
Affirmations
Placed it where I wanted it before glueing it all down

Hi everyone! It's Susanne writing today. I used Distress Inks together with some of our Crazy Flowers to create the page in this art journal. It's a watercolor journal from Kunst & Papier, it's one of my favourites to use with Ink and watercolors. I didn't use any gesso to prime my page. The flowers are embossed with white powder on watercolor paper. I coloured them in in complementary colours, by dipping them into the Distress Inks, to let them pop from the background. Rubber Dance June Challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to a new month and a brand new challenge here at the Rubber Dance blog!  For most of us up here in the north, June is the first month of summer and with summer come flowers in bright and happy colours. So, here you go - our three challenge colours for June and a not-so-very surprising (although optional) theme: We need to see you using all three colours for your entries. Altered Chipboard Butterfly + Giveaway

Bibi here today with a fun project, using the Totem Monarch Poppet chipboard from EyeConnect Crafts . I had such a blast with this and I hope what I've made will inspire you to make something similar. The difference between the chipboards from EyeConnect Crafts and others ones I've seen out there, is that they are made to connect (hence the name). There are two categories, one called Lace-Ups which you bind together using ribbons, string, lace, etcetera and another category of chipboards with smaller holes so you can connect the pieces using tiny eyelets or brads. This is what it looks like. The pieces are laser cut, and you easily remove them from the base - save that part and use it as a stencil for another project. Rubber Dance meets StarTrish Design!

Hello everyone! It's Bibi here today to show you some awesome stamps that are NOT from Rubber Dance! As a stamp manufacturer myself and the owner of Rubber Dance, it has been years since I went shopping for stamps anywhere else..... However! When I saw that Trish Latimer had launched the first stamps from her own designs, I nearly fell off my chair in excitement!!! Her stamps - which you can see here - are quite big: 12 cm tall (!) and I knew right away that they would be a perfect match with the big flower stamps on Rubber Dance's set  Textured Flowers . I contacted Trish and we decided to do a collaboration..... .... and I'm proud to show you one of the gorgeous artworks that Trish has made,  and y ou can also see her  blog post about it here .
