Cards with the Sketchy Flowers by Mariken

Hi everyone, 
 
Mariken here, with a step by step tutorial for you, 
making these two cards with the lovely Sketchy Flowers. 
Love them so much, they are my favorites..
 
I  made a some backgrounds with my watercolors. 
Just several stripes in different colors.

 
 I colored the flowers with watercolors.

After that I made some marks with Pencil Marks 1. 

With white embossing powder  I embossed the white circles from Grungy Stuff.

 
Then with acrilyc markers I colored the little dots in contrasting colors.

 
 I cutted out the flowers and glued them on the backgrounds.
 So... here below you see the finished cards.

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). Rubber Dance Stamp Challenge - October

After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. As English spread to the New World, the common season names split as well and today, American English uses the word fall while British English
