Art Journal and Video with Inky Flowers by Katka

Hi, Kate here today.

I am still new in art journal making so I am exploring different ways of how to create a nice page.  I like to create separate easy pages. Today I have for you tutorial for very easy art journal page with minimum supplies, but still very pretty.

You will need just some heavy weight paper, some old papers from a book or some papers with music notes, gel medium or clear gesso, black watercolour marker.  Some waterproof ink and nice stamp set, I used Rubber Dance Inky Flowers.  For colouring some watercolour markers or any water soluble medium.  The sentiment which I used I wrote at my old typewriter.

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). Rubber Dance Stamp Challenge - October

After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. As English spread to the New World, the common season names split as well and today, American English uses the word fall while British English
