New Birds and Flowers by Dot Leathbridge
Hi everyone.
we have had the most glorious Spring weather in
Australia over the past couple of weeks.
Lots of birds being very busy and
flowers starting to show us how beautiful they are.
That was my inspiration for today's mixed media card.
The new stamps from Rubber Dance are now my favourite!
And these gorgeous Sketchy Birds are just brilliant.
Susanne, you have nailed it.

I've got a few process steps for you which

They were stamped onto white card and cut out with a
thin white border around each image.

Seeing as I had Spring in mind, I've used pink, white
and umber paint on my gel plate.
Before taking the print I used a flower from
Sketchy Flowers #3 to stamp onto the wet paint.
Then I pulled the print.
Now you might be thinking that it looks a little patchy?
It was perfect for what I had in mind.
All I wanted was a quick background to play on.

After trimming the card down I used my fingers to add
some white paint to some of the edges.

There was some left over white paint on my craft sheet
which came in handy for some extra stamping.

The easiest way for me to work out where to stamp is to
place the loose images onto the card and see where
the gaps are.
