Happy Spring Art Journal Spread by Ellie Knol


Hi to you all.. Ellie here!
Today another spread in my gelliprinted-papers-journal. 
My aim is to fill the whole journal with only Rubber Dance stamps, and only use a set once. I hope that I will have a colorful and happy filled journal where all the stamps will get their own little space in the end. 

Only the bird and two of the foliage have been fussycut, and the 'wall' stamped onto separate paper, torn and adhered to the collage. . 

The other images were stamped onto the background, and colored with watercolor pencils.



 
Accents with a white acrylic marker and a sentiment are the finishing touches.

Always Sparkle - Envelope Book Tutorial by Sue

Good afternoon and happy Saturday, welcome to the weekend! It's Sue here with my envelope book. Making your own books and journals is very popular at the moment, and I wanted to have a go. I also wanted to use supplies that I had already as it's just after Christmas and I'm already in 2022's craft budget. So I have quite a few of these -  Colour Craft lustre paints. Loads of these - rather posh DL pearlised envelopes. I bought a box full in a closing down sale, so have a box full less 3! And these, my favourite bright StazOn inks. So to work (well play really, I'm making it all up as I go along) I started by painting my envelopes with the paints, then added some stencilling in a contrasting colour. I've used totally different colours so that I've got a choice of colours for my toppers. I've used metallics on this one and they are really nice! For the 'in between

Atc´s Textured Birds by Verónica

Hi everyone, Verónica is here. Today I come with a colorful and fun series of Atc´s that I have made with the beautiful  Textured Birds set .  Let's go step by step, so you can cheer up and make your own.I hope you enjoy it and you like it, it is done with great affection. We cut watercolor paper that measures 3 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches, if you prefer in centimeters 8,9cm by 6,4 cm approximately. Now we create the backgrounds by coloring with watercolors, pigments, or inks. I have used pigments dissolved in water, to give it a watercolor effect. When they are ready and dry we apply textured paste with some stencils that we like. In my case Distress Textured Paste (crackle). We can use the embossing gun to speed up the process or let it dry. We continue, we are going to stamp these adorable and cute little birds with a waterproof ink. Rubber Dance June Challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to a new month and a brand new challenge here at the Rubber Dance blog!  For most of us up here in the north, June is the first month of summer and with summer come flowers in bright and happy colours. So, here you go - our three challenge colours for June and a not-so-very surprising (although optional) theme: We need to see you using all three colours for your entries.
