"Find Beauty" Art Journal Page Angie Coomber

Hello arty friends, how are you doing? I have not done any proper art journaling for ages and remembered that I really liked these circle design pages so decided to have a play with some autumn colours. I started by clear embossing some circles on my page. Next I very lightly sketched a circle on my page and followed this up with my Distress Crayons. I usually draw my lines and then smudge them with my fingers, using a bit of water. I used the same colour crayons to add some mark making. I thought the marks looked a bit harsh so smudged them a little. The next step was to add some stamping using black Archival ink, as well as some magenta paint  splatter and marks made with a gift card . I added some white mark making to make the colours pop a bit more. I stamped my focal image onto a piece of gelli print, cut it out and glued it onto the page, together with a quote. I have to tell you that I wasn't very happy with this page at the beginning, but often it's worth persevering an...

Make your Mark by Lisa

Image
Hi friends! Lisa today with you and I'm happy to share with you my new art journal inspiration playing with Distress Oxide sprays and some fabulous Rubber Dance stamps! I took a piece of watercolor paper and first I made some stamping with white embossing powder and Pencil Marks #3 Clear stamps set. Then I used a Distress Oxide spray to create a pink watercolor background. I took Mixed Media Marks Clear stamps and I made a little stamping with archival inks. I added some details like branches of leaves and a big moth. Finally I made splatters with teal liquid paint. I used these products from the shop:  https://www.rubberdance.de/clear-stamps/mixed-media-marks-1-clear-0001/#cc-m-product-14534935433 https://www.rubberdance.de/big-sheets/pencil-marks-3/ I hope you enjoyed my art journal inspiration for you! The Adorable Guinea Pig Journal Page by Priss

Image
I'm  Priss  and welcome you to today's inspiration with the cutest stamps by Rubber Dance. You will find more interesting inspirations with the  Guinea Pig  set here . And with the  Night & Day Big  set here , here , and here . This time I created another page for my Rubber Dance Stamps Squared Art Journal. For the background, I used Distress Oxide Inks inspired by the colors of our October Mood Board (Yellow, Orange, and Storm blue). Then I sprayed some water to lift the colors.  To make it more interesting I stamped some marks, with the mini rainbows of the  Carved Collection 1  set, and some black inked borders with the  Mixed Media Borders  set.  As usual, I did some splashes for the finishing touch. This time I used Oxide Inks with similar colors and finally my special mix of white. After that, I applied other markings with a leaf stencil and brown ink. I didn't take a shot of that part, but I'll leave y...

Textured Mushroom Art Journal Spread by Ellie Knol

I love making collages of stamped and fussy cut images onto gelli printed pages.  This art journal has been made with gelliprints that were not particularly beautiful on their own.  Using them to collage and stamp onto makes them very useful for beautiful backgrounds.  I hope you like it, see you next time!    Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Textured Mushrooms Textured Flowers  Sketchy Flowers #1 Grungy Borders Mixed Media Marks Mix A Sentiment 1

Art journal page by Lisa

Hi friends! Lisa today and I'm Happy to share with you my new art journal inspiration with Rubber Dance stamps! To start I used my favourite watercolors combo on the page, adding a little of white gesso to create some white spaces. I let it dry with the heat gun so I made a little stamping with Grungy Stuff and Old Book page stamp sets. I stamped a flower from Textured Flowers Clear stamps set and I added a sticker for the sentiment. Finally I made splatters with teal liquid pain for a little contrast. I hope you enjoyed my art journal inspiration for you! Hugs, Lisa

Grungy Junk Journal

Image
Hi, I'm Vero (@Vero.kt) and welcome to today's inspiration. How's everybody? . I've been playing with some of the   Rubber Dance  designs to create a page in my Junk Journal.  I have used   Inky Friends , Pencil marks 3 and   Mixed media marks  1.   I  hope you like . On watercolor paper, I play with different spray inks to create a colorful layer and use a blow dryer to speed up the process. I choose a stencil and apply micro distress glaze (this medium is waterproof, so the surfaces you apply it to won't be affected by water. You can use it as a resist when applying watercolors or any water-based paint or ink) .) For that resistance effect, I choose some pigment and mica inks and apply them on my paper. I use a dryer to speed up the process and to add interest and depth to the page, I stamp different stamps with permanent ink . Later I stitch with the sewing machine to integrate the elements in the composition. One of the parts...
