Treemendous Fun! by Samantha Read

Hello, Samantha here today and I'm sharing with you how I made three really quick Christmas cards.
I used the fabulous Textured Christmas Trees, they're so fun and look great using traditional Christmas colours or bright and funky colours like I have used. I've recently discovered gilding flakes and just about every thing I make has some silver or gold on it, they really do add the perfect bling!

My little Christmas cards are 9 cm squared and using a Sizzix die they have a faux postage effect. Cut these first so you know what size to cut your background pieces.

I used distress inks for all my colours for these cards, This is my background, I swished my card in some spritzed ink, I love the random/watercolour effect using this method.

Stamp and cut three trees, I clear embossed to get a nice, crisp image I can add water to.

Using the same method as the background I coloured my trees.

Using the small hearts stamp and the same colour I added a little detail to the background. Adhere the background to the faux stamp die cut and adhere the tree in place.

To finish I added the silver gilding flakes for some lovely Christmas sparkle and the sentiment from the Beautiful Words stamp set, these sentiments are just so elegant and perfect for any occasion.

I do hope you like them, thanks so much for looking.

Wishing you a lovely day, Samantha :)

Here's the stamp sets I used:
