Christmas Candle by Angie Coomber

 Hi arty friends,

I hope you're all safe and well.

I have started thinking about Christmas recently (I'm not one of those people who starts making Christmas cards in August!) and while looking for supplies I came across some beautiful stamping card that I have had for ages. As soon as a I saw it I knew I wanted to make a project using a candle.

I wanted to use a vellum type paper and had to settle for tracing paper in the end. I measured a piece of the paper to go around my candle - which was a little bit tricky because the candle jar tapers slightly at the bottom, but I managed to make it fit in the end!

Next I used the star stamps and gold paint to stamp a little bit of background on the paper. I also added a little gold splatter. Then I stamped a variety of Christmas trees on the blue stamping card and cut these out.

I used double sided tape to stick the trees onto the sleeve and then wrapped some gold wire around the whole thing to keep everything in place.

I think a few people may get candles from me this Christmas!

Stay safe, hugs from Angie x
