Merry Xmas Card by Dot Leathbridge

 Hello everyone.
Gee, isn't Christmas coming around quickly?
Are you starting to get ready for it yet?

Today I've a card to share with you that is quick and easy to make
using the new Textured Christmas Trees.

I like to keep Christmas cards pretty simple.
The thought of showering the tree with falling stars came to mind
for this card.

The falling star is a great addition to the
Textured Christmas Trees set of stamps.
The background is simply blending inks.
To me this is a very relaxing thing to do.
There has been a halo left around the Christmas tree so that
it stands out a little more.

There are many different trees to choose from in this set.
This tree was just right for the space that I wanted it to go into.
It was a little like choosing a tree for your home.
I've coloured the tree and stars with markers and added a little
shading with pencils to give it more of a rounded shape.

I've used the letters from Alphabet Uno
to make the sentiment.
I lined them up on my stamping block and stamped them all at once.

I'm not sure if you can see it, but there is some glitter glue
on each of the letters.
Those of you who are familiar with my work, glitter is something
that is used rarely.
But it's Christmas, right?
If there is ever a time that you should use a little bling,
then it is surely at Christmas time.

The stamp sets used are:

A reminder that there is still plenty of time to take part
in our November Mood Board challenge over on facebook.

It is subtle, but I've used all of the colours from the mood board
on my Christmas card.
What inspires you from the Mood Board?

We would love to see what you create.

Wishing you a creative day.
