Christmas Tree by Samantha Read

Image
Hello, Samantha here today and I'd like to share with you a Christmas decoration I made using the Textured Christmas Trees stamp set. Just a quick post as I expect you are all getting ready for the busy time to come. I began by die cutting the basic house and added texture paste through a snowflake stencil to give lots of lovely texture. I used metallic paints and lots of glitter to add sparkle. Next step was to construct the house and add the roof finally adding the trees and shooting star which were stamped on white card and coloured using watercolour paints. To finish I added highlights with a white pen and more sparkle to the star and tree tops using gold and silver leaf. I will be adding some string so it hand on the tree. Here's the stamp set I used: Textured Christmas Trees  I do hope you like my creation, thanks for looking. Wishing you a lovely day Sam :)

Christmas Table Place Cards by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello arty friends, Angie here with a super quick little project for Christmas.  I made some really simple place cards for the Christmas Dinner table. I made the cards using 10x8 cm white card, folded them along the long side and covered one side with 10x4 cm gingham card. Next I used white embossing powder to create some Christmas trees and a star on brown card (think gingerbread!) I cut out my elements and glued one each onto the place cards. I added some gold detail with a gel pen and some "stitching" with a black pen. Finally I used some alphabet stamps from my stash for the names. Have a great Christmas! Lots of love, Angie Stamps used: Textured Christmas Trees

The Gift of Christmas by Samantha Read

Hello, Samantha here and I'd like to share a quick and easy Christmas card, perfect for batch making if you have lots to do. I wanted to do a tutorial but I was enjoying it so much I forgot to take step by step photos so I hope my writing explains for you. My card base is 5 inches square so I mat and layered to make the card more substantial to halp make the gorgeous pink colour pop. I made the top layer using a stencil and distress inks and I stamped the cute Christmas tree from the Textured Christmas Trees stamps set on white card. I added some coordinating coloured splats, pink, turquoise and yellow always work so well together. I coloured the Christmas tree using watercolour paints. To finish I added some pink, sparkly sequins, a sentiment from Watercolour Xmas stamp set, finally using the edge of an old credit card I grounded the tree with lines of paint. Here are the stamp sets I used, just click on them to go Rubber Dance shopping, and there's lots more inspiration on Fa...

Merry Christmas Mixed Media Cards

Image
Hello Rubber Dance Friends, i'm back sharing two christmas card with you today. As you may know, I love gel prints and I used some again here. For the background and for the trees. The trees are gold embossed and then simply cut out, contour accurate, so that no edge protrudes. I then glued them on with foam pads. I sewed on some tissue paper behind the trees. I hope you like them :) Are you already in the process of creating your Christmas cards? Thanks so much for stopping by, enjoy your day!   Do not miss this:  All our Christmas stamps are 10% off until Monday.
