Photo tutorial - art journal page with Kate

 Hi, 

 today I have for you easy photo tutorial for cool art journal page. You will need just some basic tools and you can play with me.



For this page I used Inky Flowers, Mixed media marks 1, Journal words.

Other material - some paper (I have my art journal), any kind of structure paste, any kind of colour - Lindys magicals, any kind of sprays, watercolours just what you have at home, waterproof black ink, some white ink for splatters, 3D foam tape, scissors, heat tool, stencil, spatula.

1. apply your paste through stencil just randomly at page, you can also apply paste just with spatula to have more structure at background, dry it with heat tool


2. take your choosen colours and apply them at page, I used Lindys magicals and I mixed them on page just with water, dry it


3. funny part is here - just random stamping to add more interest to your background


4. you can take patterned paper I took some of my gelli prints and I stamped on them Inky flowers and I fussy cut them and glued them with 3D foam tape on your page


5. if you like splatters make some with white acrylic spay or paint or white gesso


6. stamp and cut sentiment I used white embossing technique at black card stock, so it stands out of the page nicely and that is all

Bleu, Blanc, Rouge

Hello crafters, Craftyfield here back for another Guest Designer spot. The piece I have today is a bit different, for one I don't know what to call it: it's not a card and it is too small to say it's a journal page! Anyway, with the events of the 13th of November in mind, I wanted to highlight the colours of the French flag (the Bleu Blanc Rouge of the title), which also happen to be the colours of the Rubber Dance challenge this month. Paris has a special place in my heart and, with very little in the way of supplies, I managed to get the page to "say" what I wanted to say. Supplies: Distress inks create a French flag background. The Eiffel Tower (from the Travel set) is symbolic for Paris The word Souvenir [1] is both for Paris as a tourist destination and for the remembrance of the victims. Love This Life

Good morning and happy Wednesday. It's Sue here with my first piece of the year. Now everyone knows how much I love Christmas, but I was really happy to not make a Christmas card. My thoughts have now turned to Spring, and so I've made myself some flowers. I started by painting a wooden frame with some Colourcraft Lustre Paints. These really are lovely and dry very quickly. I've just dabbed the colours on with my blenders. Then I stencilled on some silver metallic paint through a That's Crafty  grungy harlequin stencil. I also painted/daubed a piece of chipboard with blues, greens, and pearl Lustre paints. I love these new Crazy Flowers (1)  that Melina has designed for Rubber Dance, and I've stamped and embossed them on the chipboard. I'm also a huge fan of Brusho's, so I've made a couple of backgrounds and stamped the flowers and leaves from both Crazy Flowers 1 and 2 . Now for my favourite bit, the cutting o
