BIRTHDAY CARD

 Hello friends!! Josi Tomàs greets you again. I hope you are well.

Today I bring you a new tutorial about a birthday card that I made for a very special boy, my little nephew. I hope you like it...

 

First, I made a background using Gelli plate and acrylic paint in different colors and Carved Collection #1 (Clear-002).

 

I tore up one of the papers and it was the one I worked on in the next steps...

Second, I did a blue embossing using Distress Oxide and transparent powder and Sketchy Leaves (Clear-003).


 Third, I put white modeling paste using a stencil.

 

Finally, I made different stamps (dots and text) around the project in black and blue permanent ink and put it on white cardstock to highlight the work.

I made the decoration with some beautiful leaves that i was paint with watercolor.

Special touch:  I stamped a leave on a book paper and added a buch of threads and a sentiment...

Blog Hoppin' Superpowers

Rubber Dance has gained a following of stampers that love our Sarcasm Superpowers sentiment stamps. These aren't exactly our best seller stamps (not very surprisingly), but if you love them, you'll LOVE them! And this particular group of followers certainly do - not very surprisingly at all with a group name like theirs .... namely the  Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! (I know, right? Too darn cute!) These fine ladies have bullied me and some of my designers into a blog hop featuring our Sarcasm Superpower stamps. It didn't take much persuation, nor any bribes to speak of. Easel Card With Textured Flowers

Hello.  Welcome.  Gail from the design team here today with a project using the new Textured Flowers stamps.  I loved these the moment I saw them.  Big beautiful blooms.  And many small er stamps for adding leaves and texture.   I decided to make a Twisted Easel Card.  There are many tutorials available but I used this one by Lois.  So here's my card using Textured Flowers and of course, a giraffe .......... I was inspired by the Rubber Dance challenge colours which for June are: I stamped the large simple daisy, masked and stamped two more.  I added the giraffe from African Animals .  I think I'll call her Daisy. I thought it looked a bit empty so I stamped more daisies...... and coloured with distress and d y e inks.  I stamped and embossed three of the doodled flowers and the giraffe, fussy cut and added them to my panel.  I used brads and a Cheery Lynn die cut for the flower centers.  I also doodled a little faux stitching
