Sketchy Bird Collage by Ellie Knol

 

The HOW to of this delightful birdie card ... 
- Create a gelprint with different colors of green; stamp in it with a custom made 'stamp' of buttons. Pull the print.


- Stamp the bird image from Sketchy Birds (Clear - 0006) onto this background as shown and create a mask of it on sticky paper. 
- Mask the bird and sponge around the bird with a dark green, stamp a script (Vintage P:ostcard) in a dark color, stamp the bubble wrap from Mixed Media Marks with different greens. These steps will make the bird pop.
Color the bird with different yellow watercolor pencils to add more depth to it. 


- Stamp the sentiment from Sketchy Birds (Clear - 0006) and the postage cancel stamp from Vintage P:ostcard in a dark color three times as shown.  
This birdie enjoys the spring .. are you?

Back from The Netherlands

Hello everyone! It's Bibi here today, typing to you from my new keyboard .... Isn't that speck-tacular?  But what does my "new" keyboard have to do with my trip to The Netherlands? Keep reading and you'll soon find out ... As our regular blog readers will know, I spent a week in The Netherlands earlier this month. The main reason I went there was so I could go to the ARTSpecially stamp show in Nijkerk to meet my Dutch retailer - Marian, who owns Hobbycompleet de Duif . But before that, my sweetheart and I spent some days in Amsterdam, one of my fave places in the world! The huge "I amsterdam" letters on the plaza behind Rijksmuseum (National Gallery). Any toursist with respect for herself will take 100's of photos of those letters....
