Christmas Tree by Samantha Read

Image
Hello, Samantha here today and I'd like to share with you a Christmas decoration I made using the Textured Christmas Trees stamp set. Just a quick post as I expect you are all getting ready for the busy time to come. I began by die cutting the basic house and added texture paste through a snowflake stencil to give lots of lovely texture. I used metallic paints and lots of glitter to add sparkle. Next step was to construct the house and add the roof finally adding the trees and shooting star which were stamped on white card and coloured using watercolour paints. To finish I added highlights with a white pen and more sparkle to the star and tree tops using gold and silver leaf. I will be adding some string so it hand on the tree. Here's the stamp set I used: Textured Christmas Trees  I do hope you like my creation, thanks for looking. Wishing you a lovely day Sam :)

Christmas Present Pendants

Hello Rubber Dance Friends, wrapping presents for Christmas is always a nice task, isn't it?  If you then have a beautiful tag, it makes it twice as much fun. For the one who wraps it and for the one who unwraps it and enjoys it. I have experimented a little here. I punched out Gellprints in a circle and then placed them along with a few gold flakes. I put all this through the laminator. Then I cut it out. The poinsettia flowers are gold embossed and sewn on. On the back I glued on a round circle in white, which you can then write on and write a message.  Thank you for stopping by :) Have a happy advent time and stay safe! Christmas Gift Accessoires | TAG and Bauble with Poinsettias

Image
Hello everyone, it's Dunja here today and i'm sharing two little christmas things with you.  You can't have enough little Christmas tags, can you? Something here and there that's quick too. I have a Christmas bauble and a tag for you here. I also used the stamps from the Textured Christmas Green set. The poinsettias are wonderful. Do you love them too? I embossed the motifs, stamped them on a gel print and cut them out. You can also use leftovers very well. Here I used a paper that was created in the gel print. I made it as an intermediate layer for the ball and sewed it on for the tag. I hope I could inspire you to create little Christmas accessories. Happy crafting! Have a great day, thanks for stopping by, see you soon.  Dunja   ( Blog  |  Instagram  |  Facebook ) Textured Christmas Green Cosy Christmas Music   Rubber Dance links: Website Facebook Pinterest Blog Instagram YouTube

Christmas in July by Samantha Read

Hello, Samantha here today and I'm so excited to be sharing this Christmas creation with you, I know it's not Christmas for a while yet but I received some new Rubber Dance stamps and I just couldn't wait to play with them, Watercolour Xmas is a stamp set that had been on my list for Santa for a long time, it's a wonderful set that has lots of baubles and bauble decorations for you to mix and match and also some very elegant sentiments too. For this Christmas decoration I've combined six stamp sets, I just love how well they work together. I began with a piece of cardboard measuring 8in x 8 in, I peeled off some of the top layer in places to reveal the lumpy layer, I cut it completely at 2.5 inches and used a hole punch to add the holes as shown. Then I added a coat of white gesso. To get an idea of layout I always stamp images and move them around, this project actually began with a cat and dog together but I don't think they were ready for Christmas and they d...

Window Display by Angie Coomber

Hello arty Friends, Angie here with a very quick tutorial for you. Christmas is fast approaching and this week I wanted to make some decorations for the windows in the little cabin that I craft in. I have just started experimenting with alcohol inks on my gelli plate and thought some prints that I had recently made would be nice for this. I chose 2 sheets and stamped baubles on them. I then cut these out, paired same size/shape baubles and glued them back to back onto 3 lengths of baker's twine. Finally I hung them up in my window and then spent ages trying to take a good photo, which as you can see was quite tricky! I hope you like them.  Until next time, hugs from Angie x Stamps used: Watercolour Xmas

Christmas Candle by Angie Coomber

Hi arty friends, I hope you're all safe and well. I have started thinking about Christmas recently (I'm not one of those people who starts making Christmas cards in August!) and while looking for supplies I came across some beautiful stamping card that I have had for ages. As soon as a I saw it I knew I wanted to make a project using a candle. I wanted to use a vellum type paper and had to settle for tracing paper in the end. I measured a piece of the paper to go around my candle - which was a little bit tricky because the candle jar tapers slightly at the bottom, but I managed to make it fit in the end! Next I used the star stamps and gold paint to stamp a little bit of background on the paper. I also added a little gold splatter. Then I stamped a variety of Christmas trees on the blue stamping card and cut these out. I used double sided tape to stick the trees onto the sleeve and then wrapped some gold wire around the whole thing to keep everything in place.  I think a few ...
