Crochet Card by Angie Coomber

Hello arty friends!

I hope you're all happy and healthy.
I have a slightly different card for you today combining two of my passions, papercraft and crochet.
But I do have to apologize for using the Textured Mushroom stamps again - anyone who knows me knows that I'm crazy about mushrooms, and I can't get enough of these stamps.

I started by cutting out a circle from one of my gelli prints, ensuring that it was the right size to fit on the front of my card. Then I made a paper template to ensure an even positioning of the hole.

I transferred the marks to my gelli print circle and punched holes with a hole punch.

Next I crocheted around the edge, using a 3.5mm crochet hook and embroidery thread, There are 3 double crochet stitches in each hole.

I stamped some of the mushrooms onto watercolour paper and coloured them in with watercolours, using colours that would pop on the background.

I glued the mushrooms onto the circle, glued this to the card and added a little doodling using Posca pens. Last but not least, as always, I added a quote.

I really hope you like it!

Hugs from Angie x
