Mixed Media Background Collage Cards by Ellie Knol

Image
For today's post I created four Mixed Media Background Collage Cards! I created a masterboard with collaging different elements to a piece of paper that measured 30 by 30 centimeters approximately. The  HOW TO : Adhere elements like fussycut stamped images (flowers and leaves), but also book paper and some colored imagery (mostly green leaves).   Stamp with Mixed Media or flower stamps in the background. Apply gesso over the elements partially with a palette knife using gesso.  Spray with green and orange spray inks to merge all the of elements to a cohesive background.  Tear four pieces from this masterboard to fit the four card bases.   Adhere fussycut stamped images, stamp postage stamps and fussycut stamped torn pieces of postage tickets to finish each card off.   See you next time!  Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Mixed Media Marks #3  Grungy Butterflies Textured Birds Flowers Gone Wild Textured M...

The Adorable Guinea Pig Journal Page by Priss

Image
I'm  Priss  and welcome you to today's inspiration with the cutest stamps by Rubber Dance. You will find more interesting inspirations with the  Guinea Pig  set here . And with the  Night & Day Big  set here , here , and here . This time I created another page for my Rubber Dance Stamps Squared Art Journal. For the background, I used Distress Oxide Inks inspired by the colors of our October Mood Board (Yellow, Orange, and Storm blue). Then I sprayed some water to lift the colors.  To make it more interesting I stamped some marks, with the mini rainbows of the  Carved Collection 1  set, and some black inked borders with the  Mixed Media Borders  set.  As usual, I did some splashes for the finishing touch. This time I used Oxide Inks with similar colors and finally my special mix of white. After that, I applied other markings with a leaf stencil and brown ink. I didn't take a shot of that part, but I'll leave y...

Textured Mushroom Art Journal Spread by Ellie Knol

Image
I love making collages of stamped and fussy cut images onto gelli printed pages.  This art journal has been made with gelliprints that were not particularly beautiful on their own.  Using them to collage and stamp onto makes them very useful for beautiful backgrounds.  I hope you like it, see you next time!    Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Textured Mushrooms Textured Flowers  Sketchy Flowers #1 Grungy Borders Mixed Media Marks Mix A Sentiment 1

Where Summer Ends and Autumn Begins by Samantha Read

Image
Hello, Samantha with you today and I'm sharing another page for my ever growing art journal. This page for me was lovely to create and I was trying to capture the last of the summer flowers whilst autumn fungi start to appear, it's my favourite time of year. Your eyes are not deceiving you, my page is a little wonky! But it was easy to make, here's how: For the colourful, central piece I created the background using stamps from the Pencil Marks #5 stamp set and distress inks. I prepared the journal page by simply stamping in grey ink some of the wonderful I Love Leaves stamps in just two corners as shown. The flowers, poppy heads, leaves and mushroom were stamped on white card and coloured using water colour paints and coloured pencils. To finish I added some black enamel accents and some white highlights with a Posca pen. I do hope you like it, here are the stamps I used: Pencil Marks #4 Pencil Marks #5 Textured Mushrooms I Love Leaves  Thank you so much for looking, for m...
