Art journal page with Mama Owl by Jessica

It´s Jessica here. How is everyone doing?

Today I will share an art journal page in my leftover book. 




The page was already primed with gesso and had a layer with modeling paste through a stencil(Tim Holtz).
I decided to color my page with Lindy´s Stamp gang magicals powder and spray.
Then I stamped my Mama Owl on parchment paper.
It´s something I do when I have a very textured page otherwise the stamped image will get uneven.

 


I used gel medium to glue it to my page and then I stamped the branch and some leaves around my page from the Mama Owl set.
The owl disapeard in all the blues and greens and I decided to color some parts of the owl with Arteza real brush pens (yellow, green and turquoise) and a white posca pen. I also used a micron pen to fill in some of the black lines. I did some more stamping, flowers from the same set and a title from
the Think Again set.

Blog Hoppin' Superpowers

Rubber Dance has gained a following of stampers that love our Sarcasm Superpowers sentiment stamps. These aren't exactly our best seller stamps (not very surprisingly), but if you love them, you'll LOVE them! And this particular group of followers certainly do - not very surprisingly at all with a group name like theirs .... namely the  Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! (I know, right? Too darn cute!) These fine ladies have bullied me and some of my designers into a blog hop featuring our Sarcasm Superpower stamps. It didn't take much persuation, nor any bribes to speak of. Tutorial Tuesday - A Mini Album by Sue

Good morning and happy Tuesday, it's Sue here with my tutorial for my very easy to make mini album. Here's the front and here's the back.   I started by cutting the pages for my album. I've used the Eileen Hull passport die as I think this is a fab size. Plenty of room for your images but not so big as to be intimidating. I've used chipboard for my covers, and a mixture of black, white, and watercolour card for the pages.   I've used canvas for the binding as this is really tough and flexible. I've inked it up with Distress Inks just using the primary colours, that way where they meet they will make new colours and not mud. I know you probably know this but it took me years of mud before I really got it!   Just look at the size of this Music  stamp, it's a real whopper!
