Under Water Journal Page by Samantha Read


Hello, Samantha with you today and I'm sharing a page a made for my art journal, the pages are 8 inches x 8 inches and my art journal has no words! I had great fun creating this using two amazing Rubber Dance stamp sets - Textured Sea Creatures and one of the new releases - Textured Fishes.
The super shiny background was made using lustre sprays on top of metallic paints and all the creatures, sea weed and shells were stamped on white card and coloured using watercolour pencils.


The background is easy and very effective, some bling finished the page perfectly.

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). Rubber Dance Stamp Challenge - October

After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. As English spread to the New World, the common season names split as well and today, American English uses the word fall while British English
