Hello. It´s Jessica here, hope everyone is safe and well. Today I have an art journal page to share with you. . I have used words from the Affirmations set and flowers and leaves from the Loose florals set as a focal point. But I started the page with old bookpages, a stencil and modeling paste and colored it with sprays. Then I finished the page by adding contrast. Some of the things I did was coloring the letters and dry brushing on the raised texture. Here are some close up pictures. Thank you for stopping by! Stay safe and well! Art journal page with Mama Owl by Jessica

Image
Hello everyone! It´s Jessica here. How is everyone doing? Today I will share an art journal page in my leftover book.  The page was already primed with gesso and had a layer with modeling paste through a stencil(Tim Holtz). I decided to color my page with Lindy´s Stamp gang magicals powder and spray. Then I stamped my Mama Owl on parchment paper. It´s something I do when I have a very textured page otherwise the stamped image will get uneven.   I used gel medium to glue it to my page and then I stamped the branch and some leaves around my page from the Mama Owl set . The owl disapeard in all the blues and greens and I decided to color some parts of the owl with Arteza real brush pens (yellow, green and turquoise) and a white posca pen. I also used a micron pen to fill in some of the black lines. I did some more stamping, flowers from the same set and a title from the Think Again set. Here are some closeup pictures. ...

Hello, Jessica here.  Today I will share with you an art journal page, inspired by all the crazy things happening in our world right now. I think we all need some positivity at this moment, I know I do. To add texture to my page I have used some leftover thread I found on my desk and some sequins. I used Arteza gouache paints to color my page, the are my new favorites! The butterflies are stamped on mixed media paper with archival ink and then colored with Lindy´s stamp gang magicals and sprays. I added a title and some word stickers.  It turned into a colorful page with my favorite butterfly from the Grungy Butterflies set and I also framed the page with stamps from the Grungy Borders set. I have a video for you if you are interested in the process. Here are the stamp sets I have used.    Thank you for stopping by! Take care!

Loose florals - Mini junk journals by Jessica Rosengren

Image
Hi everyone, Jessica here with my first project for Rubber Dance design team. So excited to be here. Today I´m making two mini junk journals and I´m decorating the front page with flowers from Loose Florals #1 First I´m stamping some of the flowers and leaves from the Loose Florals #1 stamp set on watercolor paper with Archival ink (waterproof). Then I´m coloring them with watercolor. All the flowers are fussy cut and I found some covers with collaged papers in my stash. I have collaged old book pages, sewing patterns and music sheets and then put an uneven layer of white gesso on top. I decided to chose one of the two covers and cut it in half. I selected some different coffee and tea dyed papers to fill the two mini journals and used a waxed linen thread to sew it together. For the front I have glued some of the flowers and then sewn the stem with black thread on my sewing machine. I glued on some leaves as well. ...
