How to use gelli prints for easy background for tags

Hi,

today I have for you inspiration how to use gelli prints in your crafting. I think everybody who loves gelli printing has got stash of nice prints and no time to use them or no ideas  ....  maybe? I love to use them the easiest way - make collage for any type of background. All my gelli prints were made with Rubber dance stamps, because they are top quality and perfect for gelli printing.

Today I will show you 4 tags with collaged background. I will not list specific products, just use any of your Rubber dance stamps (I used many of them) , I also have always in my drawer stamped and heat embossed images to be coloured or for to be use as focal points. And when I have idea for some project is it so handy to use them.

Each tag is die cut from black or classic watercolour paper (it is Sizzix die designed by Tim Holtz).

1. At my tag I glued with basic stick glue teared gelli prints to make collage, than I took stamps and embossing ink and white embossing powder to add my background more interest and final step was just add focal points and some sentiments (it is sticker).

2. This tag is even more easy. I made collage than I die cut tag and I stamped Mandala stamps at background and I added bird and sentiment. Very easy and this way you can create many tags which can be use as gift tag or book tag.

3. Another easy tag, just collage, than stamping with Versa mark onyx black ink and when ink was still wet I sprinkled just here and there gold embossing ink and I heat set it. Than I just added focal point and sticker and some washi too.

4. If you are bored with just collage at whole background, take black card stock, take some very bright gelli print and make just random collage with many black space peeking out, than take some of your favourite embossing folder and after die cutting tag, dry emboss it. That way I did my background. To add interest I took also some Prima marketing waxes and just with fingers I applied them to my background. As at other tags I added focal points and sticker sentiments.

So I hope you will be inspired by my projects.
Have an nice day
Kate
