Garden Cats Card by Gail

Hello Rubber Dance friends.   Gail here today with a card I made for friend as a part of the June Card Chain Challenge.  The Card Chain Challenge is an international card exchange.  Every month an ever changing group of very talented ladies, and the occasional bloke, make a card, send a card and receive a card.  Everyone gets a card, everyone wins.  I have been a regular player and administrator for many years.  This is the card I sent to Hilary in the UK.

I started by stamping the cat on some white card and masking.  Then I stamped the pebble stamp from Mixed Media Marks #3 with Bluebird archival ink.  I stamped the curved ladder stamp from Pencil Marks #5 with Dandelion archival above the pebbles.  I actually stamped it three times, but didn't like that I didn't line it up so there were no gaps, so I decided to fussy cut the top of the first ladder and round the cat's head.  The cut offs didn't go to waste cos I used them for my sentiment panel, stamping the perfect friend sentiment from the Adore Me sentiment set.  Then I put it all together on a slimline base with a bit of pretty designer paper behind the cat.  A bit on neon orange gel pen for the eyes and done!

Bleu, Blanc, Rouge

Hello crafters, Craftyfield here back for another Guest Designer spot. The piece I have today is a bit different, for one I don't know what to call it: it's not a card and it is too small to say it's a journal page! Anyway, with the events of the 13th of November in mind, I wanted to highlight the colours of the French flag (the Bleu Blanc Rouge of the title), which also happen to be the colours of the Rubber Dance challenge this month. Paris has a special place in my heart and, with very little in the way of supplies, I managed to get the page to "say" what I wanted to say. Supplies: Distress inks create a French flag background. The Eiffel Tower (from the Travel set) is symbolic for Paris The word Souvenir [1] is both for Paris as a tourist destination and for the remembrance of the victims. Love This Life

Good morning and happy Wednesday. It's Sue here with my first piece of the year. Now everyone knows how much I love Christmas, but I was really happy to not make a Christmas card. My thoughts have now turned to Spring, and so I've made myself some flowers. I started by painting a wooden frame with some Colourcraft Lustre Paints. These really are lovely and dry very quickly. I've just dabbed the colours on with my blenders. Then I stencilled on some silver metallic paint through a That's Crafty  grungy harlequin stencil. I also painted/daubed a piece of chipboard with blues, greens, and pearl Lustre paints. I love these new Crazy Flowers (1)  that Melina has designed for Rubber Dance, and I've stamped and embossed them on the chipboard. I'm also a huge fan of Brusho's, so I've made a couple of backgrounds and stamped the flowers and leaves from both Crazy Flowers 1 and 2 . Now for my favourite bit, the cutting o
