Carving for the sea - ATC cards by Farida

 Hello lovlies,

happy to see you here again. Are you enjoying summer? I had been sick the last couple of days and was looking foward to see the sea  again. This brought me to the idea of creting some sea-themed Artist Trading Cards using the amazing Ahoy- Stampset.

Because I wanted to use some watercolours, I stamped the three diffrent boats on to watercolour paper. 

Just did some easy colouring on them, using red, yellow and blue for the sails. 

For the ATC card background I used some diffrent blue shades and a lot of water for creating the sky as well as the waves. 
After letting the background fully dry I added some circle stamps onto the sea background and some flying gulls to the sky. Because I wanted to add some kind of movement to the image I used my knife to make a wavey slit into the background. So i could pop in the boats a little bit.

For the finishing touch I added some sentiments to the cards. 

Now I have even more yearn more for being at the sea....off couting the days now

Easel Card With Textured Flowers

Hello.  Welcome.  Gail from the design team here today with a project using the new Textured Flowers stamps.  I loved these the moment I saw them.  Big beautiful blooms.  And many small er stamps for adding leaves and texture.   I decided to make a Twisted Easel Card.  There are many tutorials available but I used this one by Lois.  So here's my card using Textured Flowers and of course, a giraffe .......... I was inspired by the Rubber Dance challenge colours which for June are: I stamped the large simple daisy, masked and stamped two more.  I added the giraffe from African Animals .  I think I'll call her Daisy. I thought it looked a bit empty so I stamped more daisies...... and coloured with distress and d y e inks.  I stamped and embossed three of the doodled flowers and the giraffe, fussy cut and added them to my panel.  I used brads and a Cheery Lynn die cut for the flower centers.  I also doodled a little faux stitching

Blog Hoppin' Superpowers

Rubber Dance has gained a following of stampers that love our Sarcasm Superpowers sentiment stamps. These aren't exactly our best seller stamps (not very surprisingly), but if you love them, you'll LOVE them! And this particular group of followers certainly do - not very surprisingly at all with a group name like theirs .... namely the  Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! (I know, right? Too darn cute!) These fine ladies have bullied me and some of my designers into a blog hop featuring our Sarcasm Superpower stamps. It didn't take much persuation, nor any bribes to speak of. Just mention  "challenge", and we'll be all over you like underfed fruitflies on a brown banana.
