Celestial Book Marks or Long Task by Farida

Image
Hello lovlies, I got some new stamps to welcome at my stash...the amazing Celestial Stamp Set . So I really need to use them in my newest project. As i somehow connect them with a mystic theme, I felt like creating some bookmarks. Because as reading books is like travelling into other worlds/spheres.... :) Okay I am going to drift away....back to my book marks project. I started with stamping some of the stars using a watermark stamp pad and an heat embossing powder on a large piece of mixed media paper.  After heat embossing it, I used my watercolours to create a night sky. Primary I used black, dark blue and a violet colour.  Turn this backround into book marks I cutted them down to size and used a corner chomper wo round the edges and added a hole at the top of each of the three pieces.  And finally it's time to use the suns and moons....yay...therefor I stamped them all, again using some heat embossing powder. As the base cardstock I used a grasspaper, beca...

Little Halloween gift by Farida

Image
Hello lovelies, do you celebrate Halloween? I normally don't really celebrate it.....but my daughter just loves it. So why don't create a cute little Halloween sweets gift for her.  I used this cute little ghost from the  Little Witch stamp set  and gave him this huge hat.  For colouring the images and the background matting I used some Watercolour brush pens.  The matching sentiment is from the additional sentiment  Boo to you / Verhexte Grüße . This little gift box came together pretty easy and fast.....so I think there will be a couple more to follow.....so friends can have one too :) Thank you for stopping by....have a boo-tiful day. Image
Hello lovlies, wonderful to see you here again. Atthe place where I live, suddenly summer was over and the waether began to really autumn like - rainy and greyish. I made a couple of photos this summer, so I wanted to keep this memory in a little mini album.  The cover I decorarted using the textured sea creatures stamp set, that has been new in my stash :) So lovely stamp set.  I started by stamping the images with an alcohol friendly ink pad on to some marker paper. An dcoloured them in using my favourite colouring medium - the alcohl markers.  Love all this diffrent sea creatures that also comes in diffrent sizes in this set. And with colouring in a couple of them my sheet started to get so colourful, though I only used some muted colours.  On the back of my mini album I just added this two cuties.... ... and on the front some more :) Thank you for stopping by, have a wonderful day! Flowery card with an affirmation by Farida

Image
Hello lovlies, happy so see you again. Today I made an encouraging flowery card. I wanted to use some watercolours so I choosed a watercolour cardstock to stamp the inky flower stamps .  I had fun letting the wet colour flowing over the images and adding some details and intrest to the leaves and petals. After letting the coloured images dry completely, I fuzzy cutted every image using some sharp scissors.  On a piece of paper, that is slightly smaller than my card base, I glued all the fuzzy cutted images over the whole background paper piece.  Because the space between the images looked a bit empty I added some clear drops.  And finally its time for a sentiment to finish off the card.  Therefor I choosed the Affirmation Stamp set.   So that the sentiment shows up a bit better on the colourful background, I let it be black and white and added some foam tape underneath the big and bold sentiment.  I am happy with how this card turned out. Hopeful...

Carving for the sea - ATC cards by Farida

Image
Hello lovlies, happy to see you here again. Are you enjoying summer? I had been sick the last couple of days and was looking foward to see the sea  again. This brought me to the idea of creting some sea-themed Artist Trading Cards using the amazing Ahoy- Stampset . Because I wanted to use some watercolours, I stamped the three diffrent boats on to watercolour paper.  Just did some easy colouring on them, using red, yellow and blue for the sails.  For the ATC card background I used some diffrent blue shades and a lot of water for creating the sky as well as the waves.  After letting the background fully dry I added some circle stamps onto the sea background and some flying gulls to the sky. Because I wanted to add some kind of movement to the image I used my knife to make a wavey slit into the background. So i could pop in the boats a little bit. For the finishing touch I added some sentiments to the cards.  Now I have even more yearn more for being at the ...

Choose peace & freedom - Card by Farida

Image
Hello lovlies, I am happy to be back on the blog again. Today full of dreams and hopes to have a world with peace and freedom for everyone.  Inspired by my dreams and wishes I created this card with a dream catcher, mainly using the Textured Feathers Stamp set.  This stamp set comes with the some coordinating outline and full stamps. Thats amazing, so we can stamp the feathers coloured without using markers or pencils. Here I used some ink pads to stamp the inner parts and afterwards stamped the outline over it in black ink colour.  I have drawn two circles and coloured the inner part for the round dream catcher base. From the feathers to circle I added some lines as the thread and added some lines and bows, so it looks like they are wrapped and tied around the ring. On the background I used the dots that come along with this set to add some intrest on  background.  To finish teh card I added some words from the Mix A Sentiment #3 Stamp set.  Stay he...

Flowerful Card by Farida

Image
Hello lovelies, so nice to welcome you here again. As I love flowers with all their diffrent colours and as all the flowers outside are blooming, I wanted to create a card full of flowers.  I started with stamping the flowers from the clear stamp set Doodle Flowers  on some removeable sticky notes as I wanted to use them for masking.  Next i fuzzy cutted the images and started stamping the flowers I wanted to have in the front  of my card.  So I started stamping and masking one flower after an other. At last I used some leave stamps to fill the gaps that were there between the flowers.  If you look at this result it looks a bit messy. And this is how it looks like when I have removed the maskings...still a bit crowded, rigth? But I was sure this will look diffrent after colouring and adding some shadows and highlights. So here is my endresult.  For finally turn it into a card I handletterd a "Hello" . Have you already tried the masking method?...

Mandala Notes Pad by Farida

Image
Hello lovlies, wonderful to have you here again. This time I really wanted to use my new-to-me Mandalas stamp set .  So I grabbed them, some pink-purpelish embossing powders and a piece of light pink cardstock.  Further I thought of creating a notepad, so I grabbed some blush coloured Foil and a bonding embossing powder for creating some more sparkling mandals on an exte piece of paper.   I used some alphabet dies and two pinkish alcohol marker to create some more coloured depth to the alphas.  I love how you can see the foiled mandalas on the alphas and thorugh the colouring they stand out more from the mandala background.  For the final touches I just added some enamal dots and used a binding tool to complete my litlle mandala notepad.  Thank you so much for stopping by. Hopefully I could leave you some inspiration. See you again soon.  Stay healthy and crafty.  Farida

"Two 2 Four" with new clear stamps by Farida

Image
Hello Lovelies, I just started creating and than get the idea to have an new little challenge series for me.... "Two 2 Four". So let's come with me and read about my new idea.  First of all I got my hands on the new clear stamps... so I wanted to use the ' Pencil Marks #3 ' Stamp set. I choosed the large leaves branch and the rainbow. First I stamped them one time on watercolour paper and one time on marker paper.  And then I thought of the idea of doing two same cards with one image, using watercolours and alcohol maker to colour them in.  I tried some kind of loose or offset colouring on the leaves with my watercolours and afterwards made some colour splotches over it.  I like this kind of easy and loose colouring, thats why I used it to colour the rainbow the same way.  Next I tried to achieve a almost similiar looking colouring using my alcohol markers. Its not really looking the same, but I like them too how they came out. To turn the panels into a card, I ...
