Summer and Beach Card by Ellie Knol

I played with some summer stamps; beachy ones.  The stamp sets are designed quite different, but it's fun to stamp different pictures on 3 centimeter square cards and make a picture collage. Enjoy your summer!    Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop AHOY Retro Beach

Seaside Postcard by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello arty friends, How is your summer going? I received the lovely Ahoy stamp set recently and just had to make a summery postcard. I dug into my box of old scrapbook papers and picked out a few that I thought were right for my this. I also have a tin of watercolour postcards so I used one of these. I chose on of the papers for the background (if you look closely you can see it’s actually a Christmas one!) and the others for the boats. Next I stamped the boats on the patterned paper as well as some white paper. I cut out the coloured boats and some of the sails from the white ones, which I glued to the coloured boats. I then glued them onto the background. Finally I added the seagulls and the quote, as well as some embossed background stamping and the word on the sail. I hope you like it! Until next time, Hugs from Angie x Stamps used: Ahoy

Carving for the sea - ATC cards by Farida

Image
Hello lovlies, happy to see you here again. Are you enjoying summer? I had been sick the last couple of days and was looking foward to see the sea  again. This brought me to the idea of creting some sea-themed Artist Trading Cards using the amazing Ahoy- Stampset . Because I wanted to use some watercolours, I stamped the three diffrent boats on to watercolour paper.  Just did some easy colouring on them, using red, yellow and blue for the sails.  For the ATC card background I used some diffrent blue shades and a lot of water for creating the sky as well as the waves.  After letting the background fully dry I added some circle stamps onto the sea background and some flying gulls to the sky. Because I wanted to add some kind of movement to the image I used my knife to make a wavey slit into the background. So i could pop in the boats a little bit. For the finishing touch I added some sentiments to the cards.  Now I have even more yearn more for being at the ...

Beach Ahoy by Ellie Knol

Image
On this card I tried to create waves by tearing the paper horizontally, and adhering the ships on and between these waves.  White heat embossed script, birds and postal cancel stamp on the dark and colorful background creates more interest.  Just a little color added to the fussycut stamped images with PanPastel make them pop a little.  See you next time, Ellie.    Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop AHOY Vintage P:ostcard Vintage Script

Something Fishy by Samantha Read

Image
Hello, Samantha here today and I'd like to share with you my tutorial showing how I made this ocean inspired home decor project. I began with an MDF fish shape, to begin with I was going to have my fish pointing upwards. I used just two stamp sets, the new AHOY set and a firm favourite of mine, Celestial. I gave the fish a couple of coats of white gesso and stamped my chosen images on white card. Then the fish changed direction as I was laying out the images. Using acrylic paints I painted the fish, I used the hanging hole as placement for his eye and simply cut out a circle of white card and adhered in place. Using a Crop-A-Dile I added two new hanging holes. I wanted to keep the stamped images white but added a little shading to the moon and clouds and a pop of red on the boat as red, white and blue are nautical colours. To finish I added some twine for hanging and some holographic flake paste to sea to make it glisten in the moon light. I do hope you like it, thank you for looki...
