Hold on tight to your dreams

 Hi friends!

Lisa here today with a new art journal inspiration playing with some of my favorite Rubber Dance stamps and watercolors!


First I took a piece of watercolor paper and I used pink color for the background.


I chose Mixed Media Marks stamp and I used some designs with archival inks.


I used Textured Birds stamp on a piece of white cardstock, and I cutted a little birdie for my page. I added a sticker for the sentiment and I made some splatters with white liquid paint.

Rubber Dance June Challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to a new month and a brand new challenge here at the Rubber Dance blog!  For most of us up here in the north, June is the first month of summer and with summer come flowers in bright and happy colours. So, here you go - our three challenge colours for June and a not-so-very surprising (although optional) theme: We need to see you using all three colours for your entries. Ellie Knol Mixed Media Cards

Hi everyone! Ellie Knol gladly accepted my invitation to guest design, and today I want to show you some beautiful cards she made using stamps from the set called Vintage Birds, and the background stamp called Vintage Script. I think these cards are really cool and I hope you will like them as much as I do! A closer look at some details:    Start off with a suitable piece of scrapbook paper. Both feathers have been heat embossed in black. I added some cheese cloth,  photo-film, a frame covered with some texture paste, and used a stencil to add texture with the same texture paste. I stamped some script in the background with black ink and white gesso.  Ellie also made this beautiful ATC!  Feather stamped with various colors of Distress inks. Backround is sponged with Distress inks (partially with stencils).
