how are you all?

I have really fallen in love with the Carved Collection 5 stamp set and wanted to play with it some more, so here are some tags I made.

I started by sprinkling Colour Burst Powders on my craft mat, spritzing with water and then dipping my stamp in the colour and stamping on book pages. I used greens/blues & yellow for this and love how the colours blend into each other.

Next I cut some tags and covered them with brown packing paper (rescued from a delivery).

I added some background stamping using embossing ink and white embossing powder.

I cut out my stamped flower shapes and arranged them on the tags, using green tones on one and blue tones on the other, then glued them down.

I did a little bit of rough scribbling around the circles to make them look more dimensional. 

I also embossed around the edges using a lovely silvery/blue embossing powder.

Next I stamped some words on cream paper - I often prefer cream to the starkness of white.

I cut out the words I wanted to use and glued them onto the tags.

I'm quite pleased with how they turned out!

Blog Hoppin' Superpowers

Rubber Dance has gained a following of stampers that love our Sarcasm Superpowers sentiment stamps. These aren't exactly our best seller stamps (not very surprisingly), but if you love them, you'll LOVE them! And this particular group of followers certainly do - not very surprisingly at all with a group name like theirs .... namely the  Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! (I know, right? Too darn cute!) These fine ladies have bullied me and some of my designers into a blog hop featuring our Sarcasm Superpower stamps. It didn't take much persuation, nor any bribes to speak of. Altered Chipboard Butterfly + Giveaway

I had such a blast with this and I hope what I've made will inspire you to make something similar. The difference between the chipboards from EyeConnect Crafts and others ones I've seen out there, is that they are made to connect (hence the name). There are two categories, one called Lace-Ups which you bind together using ribbons, string, lace, etcetera and another category of chipboards with smaller holes so you can connect the pieces using tiny eyelets or brads. This is what it looks like. The pieces are laser cut, and you easily remove them from the base - save that part and use it as a stencil for another project. Tutorial Tuesday - A Mini Album by Sue

Good morning and happy Tuesday, it's Sue here with my tutorial for my very easy to make mini album. Here's the front and here's the back.   I started by cutting the pages for my album. I've used the Eileen Hull passport die as I think this is a fab size. Plenty of room for your images but not so big as to be intimidating. I've used chipboard for my covers, and a mixture of black, white, and watercolour card for the pages.   I've used canvas for the binding as this is really tough and flexible. I've inked it up with Distress Inks just using the primary colours, that way where they meet they will make new colours and not mud. I know you probably know this but it took me years of mud before I really got it!   Just look at the size of this Music  stamp, it's a real whopper!
