Moon Whale by Samantha Read

Hello, Samantha with you today and I'd like to share a decorative hanging with you using Rubber Dance stamps.
I just love all things that feature a moon and underwater creatures rely heavily on the moon for so many things.

I began by covering a 9 in x 4.5 in piece of MDF with some white texture paste.

Using a circle die and distress inks in water created my moon.

I stamped and cut out the clouds from 'Whimsical Summer' and 'What a Girl Wants' Rubber Dance stamps sets. Also one of the whales from 'Whale Wishes'.

I arranged the images to be able to plan my background.

I used distress inks and water along with some sprays to add a simple but effective background

To finish, I clear embossed the moon so it could shine and stamped some stars from the 'Textured Feathers' stamps set.
I really like the contrast between the matt white and shinyness of the moon and background. I coloured the whale using watercolours.

I do hope you like it, thanks so much for looking.
Wishing you a lovely day, Samantha :)

Here are the stamps I used;
