New Mini Art Journal page

 

 Hi friends!! I'm Josi Tomàs (@elbauldegiulietta) and I'm here again to greet you.

How's it going with the art journal? Does it take a long time to keep it update? If you feel identified with me, then this new tutorial is especially for you.

You will see that it is very simple to do.


I have created a background using a range of green colors applied with palette knife and combined with white.

Then I have stamp the stripes with black permanent ink, the branch with grey permanent ink and the semicircles with turquoise permanent ink.

To finish I have given it some splashes with acrylic black paint and I have starched it with a black graphite pencil.


 

 Finally I cut the paper and glued it to my art journal because it's so big now and I find it difficult to work directly on it, I do it this way.

I have stamped the word "wish", I have cut it out and I have glued it in the center.

Is it easy or nor? I hope you like it.

Bleu, Blanc, Rouge

Hello crafters, Craftyfield here back for another Guest Designer spot. The piece I have today is a bit different, for one I don't know what to call it: it's not a card and it is too small to say it's a journal page! Anyway, with the events of the 13th of November in mind, I wanted to highlight the colours of the French flag (the Bleu Blanc Rouge of the title), which also happen to be the colours of the Rubber Dance challenge this month. Paris has a special place in my heart and, with very little in the way of supplies, I managed to get the page to "say" what I wanted to say. Supplies: Distress inks create a French flag background. The Eiffel Tower (from the Travel set) is symbolic for Paris The word Souvenir [1] is both for Paris as a tourist destination and for the remembrance of the victims. Love This Life

Good morning and happy Wednesday. It's Sue here with my first piece of the year. Now everyone knows how much I love Christmas, but I was really happy to not make a Christmas card. My thoughts have now turned to Spring, and so I've made myself some flowers. I started by painting a wooden frame with some Colourcraft Lustre Paints. These really are lovely and dry very quickly. I've just dabbed the colours on with my blenders. Then I stencilled on some silver metallic paint through a That's Crafty  grungy harlequin stencil. I also painted/daubed a piece of chipboard with blues, greens, and pearl Lustre paints. I love these new Crazy Flowers (1)  that Melina has designed for Rubber Dance, and I've stamped and embossed them on the chipboard. I'm also a huge fan of Brusho's, so I've made a couple of backgrounds and stamped the flowers and leaves from both Crazy Flowers 1 and 2 . Now for my favourite bit, the cutting o
