ATC cards inspiration by Kate

this is my last post for Rubber Dance, after many months of great fun with awesome stamps I had to leave because of other crafty responsibilities. As last post I created mixed media ATC cards. I used tons of different stamps. I love combination of dark background with simple black embossed images. 

I hope you will be inspired.

New Website AND Birthday SALE!

Hi everyone! It's Bibi here, the owner of Rubber Dance, and guess what.... Today is my birthday!! Hey??! Not only is it my birthday - I have made a brand new website for Rubber Dance! But, wait - there is more: NEW stamps, too? You bet! I made these tags with some of the new stamps ... Yes, I made birthday tags for myself ... The backgrounds on the ones to the left and right are my first attempt with the really cool nail polish in water marbling technique. (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, here's a really good tutorial with Carla Sonheim). The tag in the middle was coloured with Distress inks and misted with water, while the stamped label on top is with the nail polish technique. Since it's my birthday, I'm in a particularly good mood - so let's have a SALE! :-) I'm turning 48 today, but I'm afraid I cannot offer a 48 % discount or I'd get ruined! :-O So, how about 5 %? Hello Everyone, Shilpa from the Design Team here. I would like to share some ATCs with you today I created this set of ATCs using Rubber Dance Stamps Butterfly Girl 1 Butterfly Girl 2 Flying Ink Bottle Phone Home Art Defined For all the ATCs the making process is same, and they are easy to make. To start with I applied Distress Oxide inks (2 colors) to the surface, spritzed water and dried it. For next layer, I used different stencils and applied inks with a blending tool. Then I stamped focal images using black archival ink. For more texture in the background, I stamped text using "Art Defined" stamp. I adhered the words and the ATCs were ready! A Day to Celebrate + GIVEAWAY!

Hello, dear stamping friends all over the world!  Bibi here today with  THREE things to celebrate! Today is the Norwegian National Day , which is celebrated with childrens' parades and marching bands all over  the country. The proper way to greet a Norwegian on May 17th is to say, "Gratulerer med dagen!" (Literally:  Congratulations with the day ). This photo is from a parade in Oslo: May 17th is also my mum's birthday and today she's turning 75! After watching the parades, we're celebrating mum's big day with family and friends at her place. I have always made birthday cards for mum using the colours of our flag (red, white and blue), but this year I did something different and I know she likes these colours, too. Background paper made with spray inks.
