Gelliprinted mini journal with video tutorial by Melina

Hello creative friends! It´s Melina here today sharing the process of making a mini journal using gelliprints, and also finishing the cover using Rubber Dance stamps. I love making backgrounds! A great way to create backgrounds is to use a gelprinting plate. Sometimes when I´m not sure what to create, but I NEED to create something, I always start by making backgrounds. Along the way I always figure out what I want to do and I get inspired. When I was done with the printing and binding, I used the I Love Leaves stamp set to decorate the cover.  You can see exactly how I printed the pages, made the journal and did the cover in the video  HERE . Hope you´ll enjoy watching! Rubber Dance stamps used I love leaves Grungy borders Old book page Journal notes Thanks for stopping by today! Stay safe and create <3 Love, Melina

Gift Wrapping by Angie Coomber

Hi arty friends, Angie here with an idea for wrapping your Christmas presents this year. For the last few years I've been trying not to use wrapping paper that can't be recycled, but to use brown paper or old book pages (I think sheet music is particularly pretty) and adding interest by using homemade tags and pretty ribbon instead. For these tags I cut black card into various sizes. I embossed some of them with a script stamp and white/gold embossing powder, and added white/silver splatter to others for the background. Next I used a combination of Brushos and Paper Artsy Infusions to create some backgrounds for the Christmas trees (you know by now that I'm a fan of a production line process!) For this I sprinkle a little of the powder on my craft mat, spritz on some water (I add a little gold mica powder to the water, which gives everything a delicious sparkly sheen), and then smoosh my card through everything until I'm happy with the result. Once the card was dry I s...

Inky Friends Card

Image
Hello, I'm Vero (@Vero.kt) and I welcome you to the inspiration of today Tuesday. How's everybody ? I've been playing with Rubber Dance's   Inky Friends ,   Mixed media marks    and   Grungy   Stuff    to create a colorful card that I hope you like. Very easy to do, we started. We cut watercolor paper to a size of  5.5 x 3.5 inches. In my case, the paper is smooth and hot pressed, and I color the backgrounds with pigments. When the backgrounds dry (we can speed up the process with a heat gun) we're going to add texture and depth with permanent black ink, and with oxide inks here and there. Again let it dry, or speed up the process with a heat gun, to be able to apply the texture paste with stencils. To continue adding texture to the background, I add embossing glaze (translucent). Now it's time to stamp and color the stamp you chose from the set  Inky Friends . One of the parts that I enjoy the most is the composition, I have...

Christmas Tag with Textured Birds

Image
Hello Rubber Dance friends.  Gail here today with a quick and fun tag for Christmas.  I've used a few different stamps and combined them in a easy cute way. I've used a 15cm high manilla tag and stamped the Textured Bird with black archival ink.  I always think this one looks like a robin.   I masked and then stamped the Birdhouse using Tea Dye distress and a touch of black archival on the edges.  I coloured the bird with distress markers and added some white gel pen highlights here and there.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Tag set.   A bit of fancy wool to finish and done!  Thanks for dropping by.  Don't forget to check out the Rubber Dance webshop .  There is a selection of stamps on special offer so hop over and check out the sale.   Rubber Dance links: Website Facebook Pinterest Blog Instagram YouTube

Mixed Media Christmas TAGs - Imagine

Image
Yes, it is Saturday noon, ...weekend :)) and I hope you are all well, are you healthy? I'm sure you have already started the Christmas card production?  Today I have three gift tags for you. Quick and easy, sometimes you need them at the last minute, right? I punched the layer from my gelliprints, the base is white cardstock. I stamped several packages on the cut outs and did some heatembossing with a WOW! Gold Embossing Poweder. For the flowers I used leftovers.  The green one I cut out, it was a rest of green Watercolor paper, which I colored with magicals and glitter.  The flowers I cut out of gel prints as well. Everything is hot embossed. The texts are also embossed and from the two favorite stamp sets of Mix a Sentiment #1 and #2 Be sure to check out the Rubber Dance Lounge , there are so many inspirations and a monthly challenge :) Enjoy the weekend and stay healthy and creative.  Dunja

Merry Xmas Card by Dot Leathbridge

Hello everyone.   Gee, isn't Christmas coming around quickly? Are you starting to get ready for it yet? Today I've a card to share with you that is quick and easy to make   using the new Textured Christmas Trees . I like to keep Christmas cards pretty simple. The thought of showering the tree with falling stars came to mind for this card. The falling star is a great addition to the  Textured Christmas Trees set of stamps. The background is simply blending inks. To me this is a very relaxing thing to do. There has been a halo left around the Christmas tree so that it stands out a little more. There are many different trees to choose from in this set. This tree was just right for the space that I wanted it to go into. It was a little like choosing a tree for your home. I've coloured the tree and stars with markers and added a little shading with pencils to give it more of a rounded shape. I've used the letters from Alphabet Uno to make the sentiment. I lined the...
