ATC's by Dot Leathbridge

 Hello everone,
it's Dot here with a fun tutorial for you, making ATC's

I was watching one of Susanne Rose's YouTube videos
showing how to use Brushos on tissue paper
and really wanted to give it a go.
You can see the link here where she explains how it is done.

Here is a step x step guide as to how I made these ATC's
after the background tissue paper was made.

The tissue paper has been glued onto card and cut
into ATC sized pieces.

The flowers from Inky Flowers and Small Grungy Butterflies
are a wonderful size for ATC's.
I wanted to use stamps that would go over the edge of
the card and where you could still see the image.
These have been stamped onto tissue paper.

And then they are glued onto the card.
I like to use the same stamps but in different
positions when I make ATCs.

Once you trim off the excess tissue paper
you can see what it looks like.
The beauty of using tissue paper images is
that it doesn't matter about the texture
of the background.  The tissue paper 'moulds' to the surface.

The colouring of the images is done with water colours.
This month's mood board came in handy
 for choosing the colours.

Some bubbles have been added from another stamp set.
I wanted to fill in some of the gaps.
That is one of the fantastic things about Rubber Dance stamps
 - they always have extra elements that can be used with
other stamp sets.
Mixing and matching perfectly!

To finish off a border has been added.

Some paint splats were added.

And some words from Mix A Sentiment have been
stamped, edged with ink and glued onto the ATC's.

The stamps used on these ATC's are:

A reminder that we have a Mood Board each month
to give you inspiration.
You can enter into our comp over on facebook too.

I hope you enjoyed seeing how these
ATC's came together.

They really were heaps of fun to make.

Dot x
