Butterfly Girl Tag with Embossing and Inks

 



 


Hello, my crafty friends!  Mary here with a beautiful mixed media tag that I created using Butterfly Girl 1 , Mix a Sentiment 1 and Vintage Hotel Receipt stamps by Rubber Dance.  I love to use embossing as a resist for Distress Oxide Inks.  Adding the lace and tissue paper creates a beautiful touch.

Rubber Dance June Challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to a new month and a brand new challenge here at the Rubber Dance blog!  For most of us up here in the north, June is the first month of summer and with summer come flowers in bright and happy colours. So, here you go - our three challenge colours for June and a not-so-very surprising (although optional) theme: We need to see you using all three colours for your entries. Please check  our simple rules  before you link up You must use stamping, but you do not have to use stamps from Rubber Dance in order to participate. The challenge runs till June 30th. Frozen Nature Card

Hi Susan from the DT here.  I was inspired by the challenge board shown in this month challenge post. I started using white embossing powder and heat on white cardboard.  Weed Love stamps are incredibly beautiful and fit really nicely for the purpose.  The card was colored with distress ink and the edges got distress crayons.  Tim Holtz Wildflowers die were punched out and used and adorned with white embossing powder to create the 3D effect.  I stamped the small branches with blue distress ink and the red berries with a pencil eraser, with red distress ink.  I finished with sequins and small drops of sticklers with glitter. I have used: Beautiful Words and Weed Love stamps Distress crayons and ink - Stormy Sky and Fired Brich Wildflowers die, White cardboard, white embossing powder, Stickles, sequins and Zig wink of stella I wish you a nice day.
