ATCoins with Antique Botanicals

Image
Hi crafty friends!  Mary here, with two beautiful Artist Trading Coins featuring Antique Botanicals, Vintage Hotel Receipt and Mix A Sentiment1 stamps from  Rubber Dance .   Artist Trading Coins, or ATCoins, are 2.5 inch circles that you would decorate just like ATCs.  My backgrounds are embossed Vintage Hotel Receipt and Distress Oxide Inks.  Then, I fussy cut the flowers after I colored them with Big Brush markers.  Such a fun project! Here's a quick tutorial showing how I made them.  Enjoy! Here are some close ups: The stamps that I used: Mix A Sentiment 1 Antique Botanicals Vintage Hotel Receipt Find me on the web via FB, YT, and IG by searching Motley Mixed Media. Happy Crafting! Vintage Collage Art Journal

Hello Everyone, Shilpa here, I would like to share with you this vintage journal page for which I've used lots of Rubber Dance stamps: Nostalgic Couple Vintage Postcard Vintage Hotel Receipt Art Defined Round in circles Stitch and frame To start with, I stamped all images with black archival ink. To make the paper vintage, I applied Paynes grey, Transparent yellow Iron oxide and Quiacridone Gold acrylic paints- all mixed with lots of water. When it was wet, I sprinkled salt onto it. Let it dry naturally ( Originally this technique is shared by Andy Skinner in his YouTube video here )  After paper was completely dry, I removed the salt and I got this old paper look. I used the same technique on all the other images. I cut out all the images and created a collage on Burlap page of my journal. For more interest I added fabric flowers, doilies and wooden buttons. Lastly I adhered the image of...

My last blog post for Rubber Dance with a little different piece of art showing step by step

Image
Hello and welcome, Anita from the Design Team here today. It is with sorrow in my heart I have to tell you my lovely friends and followers that this is my last and final blogpost for Rubber Dance. I have been a Design Team member for two years now, and today has my last day arrived. I must admit that I am a little sad, but I hope I will see you around both in blogland and on facebook. Fortunately, I'm not completely out of Rubber Dance. I have been invited to make contributions to the challenge of the month, both the 1st and the 15th of each month from August, so you will see my makes, but I will not have a blogpost. These two years with Rubber Dance has been an absolutely wonderful time. Bibi, the boss is such an angel, very kind and helpful and supportive, and not to forget the rest of the team, they are such wonderful angels, each and every one of them. Some I have become better acquainted with than others, but I really think that everyone is very unique and amazi...

Happiness is a state of mind - Art Journal Page

Image
Hello Everyone, Shilpa from the Design Team here. I am sharing with you a journal spread, for which I've used Rubber Dance Nostalgic Couples , Something Wonderful and few other stamp sets. Here's my procedure... To make the texture on the journal page, first I cut out this piece using a die. I adhered that die cut pieces on pages and applied embossing paste through stencil.  Let it dry completely.   To bring colours to the page I spritzed randomly with  Peacock Feather, Wilted Violet, Faded Jeans and Vintage Photo distress inks. To create one more layer I stamped circles and text on the page. In addition I applied colours from distress crayons to create depth. I stamped the Nostalgic Couple on another paper with black archival ink and coloured it with distress markers.   I adhered a few embellishments and ephemera and layered the lovely couple image onto it. On the other page, I adde...
