Fly Free by Samantha Read

Hello, Samantha here today and I'm sharing another page ready for my art journal.  My page is 7.5 x 7.5 inches and I just love that the Butterfly Girl is such a statement image, standing there reaching for those stars, she is sure to get there! It was an easy page to create, the background is simply distress inks, Faded Jeans and Hickory Smoke, I used the Mixed Media Marks #3 stamp set to stamp some background detail and some stencils to create the dotty silver sparkle with paint and white heat embossing powder for the stars. Finishing touches were the text from Mix a Sentiment #1 and some highlights with a white Posca pen and some black inky splats. Here are the stamps I used; Butterfly Girl 2  Mixed Media Marks 3 Mix a Sentiment 1 I do hope you like my page and thank you for looking. For lots more inspiration you can join the fun on Facebook in the Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge, right here . Wishing you a lovely day, Sam :)

Be You by Samantha Read

Hello, Samantha with you today. I recently received some new clear Rubber Dance stamps and couldn't wait to use them so made this page for my art journal. If you're used to red rubber don't worry, the clear stamps are a wonderful quality and they stamp beautifully.  For my page I created the background by painting the colours, adding white gesso through a stencil and the spraying some lustre paints over the top and stamping in a neutral grey. Little bits of washi tape grounded the components which had been stamped on white card and then adhered in place, the coloured foliage, bird and rainbow. To finish I added some arty splats and the text. Here are the stamps I used if you would like to go shopping, just click on them:  Sketchy Birds (Clear) and Pencil Marks #3  For more inspiration and the chance to join in the monthly challenge, please join us on Facebook in the Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge, right here . Thanks so much for looking, have a lovely day, Sam :) x

Butterfly Collection by Angie Coomber

Hello arty friends,  How are you? Summer seems to have finally arrived in this part of the world so I thought I'd get the butterfly stamps out. I stamped a selection on watercolour paper, coloured them in with watercolour paints, which are my current obsession. I did some shading using pencils, then cut them out. Next I chose a piece of ledger paper. I added some background stamping and black splatter to give the page a vintage feel. I also mounted the ledger paper on a piece of grungy scrapbook paper to make it pop a little bit more. I stuck the butterflies onto the ledger paper and dabbed on some stickles. Then I added some black & gold mark making and finally the number and word stickers. Have a lovely weekend! Hugs from Angie x Stamps used: Inky friends Old book page

Hello, Samantha with you today and I'm sharing a page a made for my art journal, the pages are 8 inches x 8 inches and my art journal has no words! I had great fun creating this using two amazing Rubber Dance stamp sets - Textured Sea Creatures and one of the new releases - Textured Fishes. The super shiny background was made using lustre sprays on top of metallic paints and all the creatures, sea weed and shells were stamped on white card and coloured using watercolour pencils. The background is easy and very effective, some bling finished the page perfectly. Thanks so much for looking, the Rubber Dance team would love to see your creations, please join us on Facebook in the 'Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge'. Wishing you a lovely day, Sam :) Textured Sea Creatures  Textured Fishes
