A little Gift Box ► Majo


Good morning, my sweet friends.


Today I show you a little recycled box, you could easily use for Christmas or any other occasion for a little present. I will make some of them and fill them up with home baked cookies for my friends.

 Since they should be able to use them again and again,  I decided to go for the awesome flowers, they ALWAYS fit!

I started by applying distress inks on watercolor paper, I used Victorian Velvet, Spiced Marmalade, Tattered Rose and Mustard Seed.

I stamped the flowers very close together since my box just measures 23/8 x 3”. After stamping I colored them with Victorian Velvet. I cut my panel to the size to fit my box, distressed the edges and adhered them to my little box.

Happiness is a state of mind - Art Journal Page

Hello Everyone, Shilpa from the Design Team here. I am sharing with you a journal spread, for which I've used Rubber Dance Nostalgic Couples , Something Wonderful and few other stamp sets. Here's my procedure... To make the texture on the journal page, first I cut out this piece using a die. I adhered that die cut pieces on pages and applied embossing paste through stencil.  Let it dry completely.   To bring colours to the page I spritzed randomly with  Peacock Feather, Wilted Violet, Faded Jeans and Vintage Photo distress inks. To create one more layer I stamped circles and text on the page. In addition I applied colours from distress crayons to create depth. I stamped the Nostalgic Couple on another paper with black archival ink and coloured it with distress markers.   I adhered a few embellishments and ephemera and layered the lovely couple image onto it. Back from The Netherlands

Hello everyone! It's Bibi here today, typing to you from my new keyboard .... Isn't that speck-tacular?  But what does my "new" keyboard have to do with my trip to The Netherlands? Keep reading and you'll soon find out ... As our regular blog readers will know, I spent a week in The Netherlands earlier this month. The main reason I went there was so I could go to the ARTSpecially stamp show in Nijkerk to meet my Dutch retailer - Marian, who owns Hobbycompleet de Duif . But before that, my sweetheart and I spent some days in Amsterdam, one of my fave places in the world! The huge "I amsterdam" letters on the plaza behind Rijksmuseum (National Gallery). Any toursist with respect for herself will take 100's of photos of those letters....
