Clean and Simple Birthday Wishes
Here I am over the moon with excitement ever since Bibi asked me to guest design here on the Rubber Dance blog!
My name is Melissa Chipperfield and I'm a wife, mother to four, clean & simple card maker and aspiring family photographer. I live in the Midwest and am currently bracing myself for the arrival of winter. Card making and photography are my outlets and I'm actually looking forward to one part of winter...an excuse to craft a little more in my craft room!
With a clean & simple cardmaking style (I'm also the creator of the CASology challenge, where Bibi & I first met!), I created a CAS design using the wonderful Textured Feathers set. I am absolutely in. love. with this set! I happen to love feather images and these are fantastic!
I am playing along with the current November Challenge, using turquoise, pink and purple as the color scheme and using the optional Birthday theme.
I used the large silhouette feather image, masking it and stamping with the three different colors.
Tiny gold dots were added to the feathers using a gold Wink of Stella brush marker.
The simple sentiment (from the Happy Birthday stamp set) was stamped at a diagonal in black ink. This ended up being a one layer design, but you could easily pop up the feathers and sentiment on a separate piece of white cardstock to add a little dimension!
I'll be back in a couple weeks to share more clean and simple design ideas!
