Bird House by Samantha Read

Hello, Sam here and this is my first post for Rubber Dance. I'm so excited to be a part of the Rubber Dance design team and I hope I inspire you, even if just a little.

I love houses and animals so this die and stamps are a perfect match.
I used Textured Birds, Textured Mushrooms and Textured Houses stamps
and a few from other sets.

Here's how I made it....

The start of a project is very important to get an idea of what items work with the substrate you are going to use. I die cut the house using Sizzix Tiny Houses die, and then I chose the stamps to use.  Doing this helps get an idea of layout and can spark new ideas. Of course it can all change!

I stamped the images using Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossed them.

I added some texture to my house by using texture paste and a stencil

Now for the exciting part - adding colour and some stamped details directly on to the house.

I then constructed my house using strong double sided tape for an instant hold.

I coloured, cut out my stamped images and adhered in place as shown.
To finish I added detail using Posca pens, glossy accents and die cut foliage.

I really hope you like it and I shall look forward to sharing more projects with you.
Wishing you a lovely day,
Samantha :)

A beautiful inspired creation which has charm and charisma. Sam has a unique gift with colour blend and balance and the ability to create unique artwork. She works really hard to bring forward her creations and the quality of the end product shows the dedication she uses when working with the wonderful rubber stamps which feature in her work. Ray. x
